We are camping properly this year (stayed in a pod last year). We are struggling to find a campsite that has private pitches. We are looking at west/mid/north Wales. Yorkshire and the lake district.
Has anyone got any secret gems they can share

What do you mean by private pitches?

Not sure what you are looking for but we stay at Heber Farm in Buckden when we visit the Dales - which is basically a farmers field or three. You do have to cross the road in the village for a shower and a loo which might not suit everyone but we don't mind that. We have a pett toilet for emergencies.

No facilities at all really other than loo and shower (1 of each) but it appeals to my hermit like tendencies as we usually have a small stone walled field to ourselves and share it with two or three at the most.

Do you mean secluded pitches like here or Trellyn in Wales?

What about the quiet site seems to fulfil the brief!

We've stayed there, just for one night on way somewhere else and it was great. Beautiful location.

(Although actually, the pitches aren't very private)
