and other treasures!

They have a new range of flattened stuff - a bucket with lid, washing up bowl, kettle (£20).

Oh, I see they are Outwell. So should be long lasting.

Quite exciting.

Although having said that, I know buckets with lids are spoken of for certain uses - it occurs to me that putting weight on a collapsible bucket will not be a good move.

Shall I get one for carrying dirty dishes to the washing up sink? (currently accomplished with a plastic bag) Having a stand up wash in the tent on sites that do not have showers? (currently not accomplished at all). I don't have many uses for a bucket, really. But I like the idea.

Does water boiled in these kettles taste of anything other than water? Taste rubbery or siliconey? Packing my camping kettle is a space-wasting pain...although it goes upside down in a big pan...

I've read good things about the kettle and that it doesn't taste funny. We already have a collapsible colander but I've bought the bowl from there. Nearly bought the washing up bowl but my Ikea one has handles so I think it's better. And I just fill it with tea towels and kitchen roll so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

I have a collapsible washing up bowl and kettle (not Outwell though). The kettle is fab and has no weird taste. The washing up bowl is also brilliant. Do avoid using it to lean on when getting up from washing up on the ground. My feet were very wet after that little cock up.

That would be me too, FPMT, collapsing the bowl with water in it Grin

I don't really need these things, I just hanker and wonder.
