Camping

Is it too early to start talking about next summer?

I can't talk about new kit cos I don't need anything else, but how about plans for next summer? We used to have weekend commitments so only managed to get away on a few of the bank holiday weekends and summer hols but now we are FREE from all that and have all the time in the world to whizz off whenever we like.

My wish list for 2014 is Abbotstone Wood (again), Town Farm (again) and looking for recommendations for anything within 2 hrs of London where we can have a fire and put up our hammock.

It's never too early! What about Eco-camp and The Secret Campsite both in Sussex. Also Kitts Cottaqge and Wo-Wo.

Ah yes HZ it as while looking at the lovely Abbotstone Wod pics on your site that I started thinking about next summer. Secret Campsite and Kitts Cottage definitely. WE have been to Wowo years ago and although we liked it, have never felt the urge to return. Have you been to Stubcroft Farm near The Witterings beaches?

We've just started planning. Was going to do West Scotland in our van but the thought of midges puts us off. So going to go to Wales I think, getting excited already

We've booked our ferry ready for summer but nothing else. (Still quite excited!)
We have talked for a while about booking weekends away to make sure they happen. I might start now!!!

We are desperate to get away next summer for a week of camping. We are looking in the South, any suggestions on where to go? Smile

Brilliant thread - really looking forward to camping next year, after spending the summer pregnant or breastfeeding around the clock.

The secret campsite looks terrific -must try it. Really looking forward to the Lale District and Snowdonia. I have bell tent and a year old baby (well, he will be), and I am not afraid to use them!

Can anyone recommend a family friendly camping farm? I would like to give DS an introduction to farm animals in a safe set up.

I've finished Christmas shopping so thoughts now turn to camping trips for next year. Smile

We've booked Sandy Balls in April, here in May, and am thinking of here in June or July. DD1 starts school in Sept so am determined to get booked up and get away this year.

Trying to organise to get to River Dart Country Park with friends too -we usually go in early Sept but this year that will have to change Sad.
