We want to go away over new year in our caravan. Can anyone recommend a site that has a bit going on to celebrate new year?

Are you members of the Caravan Club? they often have rallies on over New Year that have planned events, with things for kids to do. There will be a rally centre local to you and you don't pay anymore to join it.

But personally I would head to Aviemore! or Edinburgh.

If you stay at the Crystal Palace site you can get the bus from the campsite straight to Trafalgar Square.

Baltic Wharfe caravan site is a harbour side site right in the centre of Bristol. It's a small site but hugely popular so if interested I would try to book now.

We're trying to find somewhere too with stuff going on to enjoy on new year's eve but that isn't reminiscent of a tacky holiday park. I'm thinking glamping more than Butlins! Any thoughts on where the yummier mummies go?! I can't believe you all stay at home or maybe you're not mad enough to venture out in your caravan/ camper van at new year?

I can't believe how few people go away then either. Thought there'd be loads of ideas! London and Bristol too far for us I'm afraid.

Me and DH have just been having a 'where can we go in the van for new year' conversation. We don't generally go out and so seems a good idea to get away for a few days. But where?
We could do london, though maybe our smallest is a bit young ( 3) for travalgar square till late.

We were looking at the Lakes but all the sites we usually frequent are either shut or fully booked

Don't think anyone heads to Trafalgar Square these days Tobermory! everyone seems to go to the river to watch the fireworks and entertainment. we went last year and the atmosphere was great but it was soo cold! We stayed with relatives though so left the tourer at home.

Serin, tbh my reference to 'trafalgar square' just meant 'the centre of london'. Now you say the river reminds me of last years footage on TV, which was indeed by the water ( I remember now!)
Still think mine are too little and we'll save it for another year. How old are your DC?

Where else can we go?!
