we went to one above St Ives. it's quite big and has a website, i can't remember the name, but you can see miles out to sea from it, and walk down into St Ives town, it's about 10 minutes walk.

not the cheapest campsite. in fact our most expensive camping experience. but nice.

I have been reliably informed that White Acres is a fabby one. It's part of Parkdean holiday camps, they are all meant to be very good.

here

I haven't check ukcampsites reviews, but people I know who have been to Whiteacres rated it v.v.highly.

just looked on UKcampsites and its got fantastic reviews. You are lucky to be going to Cornwall. I just wish DH had more time off so we could. But as it's a long drive, I think we need more than 5 nights down there. Good luck.

Thank you for your replies, we decided on this one.

We are going for 10 days,it is a long drive from us but we are going to get up very early, leave the kids in their pj's, get them in the back of the car with their duvets and pillows and hopefully they will go back to sleep for a while. We will probably stop off for beakfast somewhere on the way, did the same thing last year, we stopped at an Asda on route as soon as it opened, kids went in to eat breakfast still in their pj's! People must of thought we were barmy! Wasn't far wrong though!

BTW We used the toilets to brush their teeth, wash and get dressed after brekkie!
