Anybody else want to share their impending holiday excitement???

We're off to Christchurch next Thurs for 3 nights, home for 3 nights, then off to Camp Bestival, then straight to the Vendee for 2 weeks.

Leaving next Saturday for 14 nights in St Ives (Cornwall) then onto Bude for 8 nights - am very excited. Have already started the packing - we have a caravan so slowly loading up.

This year the volume of 'stuff' is immense, the children are getting to the age where they all have a bike, bodyboard plus the associated paraphernalia to take. We have just had to purchase roof bars and 4 roof mounted cycle carriers (over £300! Shock ) to fit it all in, one bike will still have to go in the car.

Enjoy your holidays!

Ooh, ooh, ooh We're off to Devon and Cornwall for a week tomorrow (from North Yorks) then France in September. Probable trip to Cambridgeshire in between.

Off to Wiltshire on Wednesday for a week. Parents already there in their caravan - they've secured a great spot set away from main campsite, with a stream running past. And the campsite is behind a pub!

We are leaving for Brittany a week tomorrow and I CANNOT wait!! We are half tempted to sneak in a few days UK camping on the way down considering this amazing weather , but I'm not sure I can get my butt and head organised to leave earlier than planned. Decisions decisions. Hope you have happy holidays everyone!

We're off camoing tonight. It's just a wee keep-us-going till our week long trip in Aug.

The weather is to be fantastic.

Four weeks til we're in the Forest of Dean for 10 nights - I had lost my camping mojo after a really bad trip last summer but have now found it again and am really excited. Just waiting for my work rota to be sorted so I can see if there is a possibility of a short break with the kids in between.

Stinkyfeet care to share where your Wilts campsite is? We haven't got petrol money to venture too far from home so that sounds good!

will be on the lookout for a tired looking trout Grin

this weekend's camping trip has had to be cancelled Sad due to me getting tonsillitis. Bastards.

Could have still gone as dr gave me some v strong painkillers, but was worried that overdoing it this weekend might delay recovery and risk Camp Besti and France.

Must be approaching middle age if I'm being this sensible.

OOH you've all got me excited......go to Brittany in 1 month, sigh. Too far away to get excited , i know, but it was a lot cheaper! Also saved a small fortune by booking direct with french campsite rather than going through eurocamp/keycamp/canvas. Anyone else done the same as a small part of me envisages turning up to a rocking 1960s caravan at the bottom of a field lol!

Oh yes! We are off this weekend as a preparation trip for Les Valades in August, must find out diner are there at the sme time Hillbilly!

Am slightly worried about the amoun of stuff this year too. Ds1 is physically disabled and we really want to take his big trike. Not sure if we will manage it as it might be that or the wheelchair. Luckily DH is a car packing genius. I just need to limit the stuff to go in the car. I seem to be failin miserably!
