I have just bought this to keep order in our tent while we are in France this summer. Moved well and truly over to the dark side. I'll have a caravan next.

Apart from anything else, I should be working Grin

Is that all you bought?? Wink Surely there's lots more 'useful' things on that website.

Whispers - I'm going to hang this from it. I promise NEVER to use it in the uk.

You obviously have way more room in the car than we do!

Report
hillbilly · 02/07/2013 14:19

I have very little room in the car but I am hoping to pack clothes in the boxes and the other things pack flat. Might have to leave DH at home though.....

Now you just need some of these www.lakeland.co.uk/50015/Hands-Free-Wine-Glass-Holders

and one of these www.lakeland.co.uk/52009/SnackStand!!

(runs away quickly Grin)

I want one of these: www.lakeland.co.uk/51773/Cream-Cool-Bar. Though I am tempted by those hands free wine glass stands, Nigel...

Surely that contraption will tip over if you fill the hanging thing with heavy gear and hang it on one side?
Report
hillbilly · 04/07/2013 14:49

Good point Blu - I might have to counter balance it with something, or I could just sit next to it nonchalantly holding it, with a glass of wine in my hand for 9 days - in which case it will have to go outdoors so I can get a suntan Smile

hillbilly · 04/07/2013 14:56

Or I could hang the thingy from a tree outside.....

Yes, buy another hangy thing to counterbalance it.

And the the contraption will collapse symetrically under the weight Grin.

Take no notice of me, I just in denial about any other clothes storage system than the 'I know it's in this heap somewhere' method.

Well the lakeland thingy arrived and I have to admit I think I must have taken leave of my senses last week. It's probably going to be sent back! I will string up a washing line and hang my pretty dresses from there. Note to self: must buy pretty dresses rather that the usual utilitarian shorts.

MBFT - I have just seen what you posted earlier! Cool Bar! That's amazing and could possibly be strapped to the top of the car....

Oh hillbilly - I do hope you get it and are at a campsite near me. I would love to see a proper camping cocktail party. Sadly we would have to leave DD behind in order to fit one in. Sad

Have decided to ditch all ideas of organisation and get a hammock instead Grin

Is that a general plan for life, hillbilly, or just for camping?

Report
hz · 08/07/2013 16:56

I want a hammock, something strong but that folds up small. Let us know if you find a good one!

hillbilly · 08/07/2013 18:31

I'll keep you posted hz. MPFT, Shock absolutely and only for the holiday of course, although still waiting for the lovely ikea storage boxes so all is not lost. I also decided to hunt down a nice big stick when we camp in a couple of weeks so we can make our very own rope swing by our pitch in FranceSmile

Hillbilly That's exactly what I've been thinking of doing! I was thinking maybe some climbing rope, should be strong and not take up too much room :) Hammock and rope swing, who needs anything else!

MummyPigsFatTummy · 08/07/2013 19:21

Oh that is a fantastic idea, hillbilly. Dont be surprised if your pitch becomes the site child magnet though - the kids had to be dragged away from the one at Chafford Park this weekend Grin
