Brittany in August - cold at night?

We're going to Brittany the first two weeks in August (one site nearer the south and one nearer the north). I haven't been to Brittany since I was a kid and can't remember what the temperature feels like at night. I don't ever remember being cold but we were usually blessed with really good weather. Has anyone been and felt the cold? Just thinking about packing, not that I can't wait to go or anything Grin

It will probably be a bit like the south of England, ie slightly unpredictable. Chances are that you will have nice warm weather during the day, and pleasantly cool nights, ie not cold. I would definitely have a few jumpers though.

IME, it usually rains at night, if it's going to rain at all, even when the days are scortching (sp?), it can rain at night. It's also often misty in the mornings, until the sun burns it off around midday, so pack sweaters/fleecies and light jackets for all.

Only once have we had any really bad rain where we wished we had wellies, and that only lasted two days out of the fortnight.

Not that I'm jealous or anything Grin

Well I will go prepared then! It's our first proper family camping holiday and DH has already had the roofbox on for a trial run packing all the gear I've bought Shock

Not that we're overexcited or anything!! I will make sure to pack plenty of warm stuff. We've camped on the Isle of Wight as a couple in the past and don't remember being cold. Here's to nice not rainy weather nerfmother Wine or only rain at night Grin
