Calorie-counting

What did you eat today - MFP?

Swapping from low carb to low cal as low carb is far too strict for me - although am still going to really cut down on carbs due to the calorie level.

Got a target of 1340 calories on MFP and am nowhere near it yet I feel satisfied..

Today I had some grapes for breakfast and a few bites of DDs toast and cheese, a turkey sandwich with the crusts cut off for lunch and 1 slice of tinned peach, beef stew with no potatoes but tons and tons of veg at dinner and a little fudge bar and a cup of tea with 2 sugars this afternoon .. Grand total: 746!

Is this right? Do I need to eat more?! Am I really going to lose weight this way? Can I have a glass of prosecco and another fudge now and still be under 1000 cal? ShockHmm

On Atkins I feel like i ate much less but was probably much more calorific , tons of cheese and cream and chicken skin etc. so this is a bit of a shock to the system.

Please tell me what you eat/ have eaten on MFP to give me an idea of what's normal.

Smile

Breakfast 228cal branflakes with milk/raisins/grapes

Snack 160cal- sandwich thin with marmite/Lurpak lighter

Lunch- fruit/veg smoothie (Jason vale recipe) and a cereal bar 362cal

Dinner- chicken fajitas inc cheese (homemade) 465cal

Snack- olives 62 cal

Total:1259cal.

I've got my fitness pal set for me to loose 1lbs per week. I've lost 10lbs in the past 10 weeks so it's definitely working (I was 9st 1lbs, I'm now 8st 5)

I think you may get hungrier the more days you do it (I started being initially under cal and then got rather hungry by day 3+)

My target is 1200 calories.

So far today, I've had Aldi tropical granola with a petit filous fromage frais plus a cup of tea with no sugar and skimmed milk for breakfast.

Lunch was half a pot of skinny soup with a wholemeal Pitt bread, 50g of grapes.

Just having a second cup of tea Smile

Got 608 calories left today so having roast chicken for tea (only eat the breast meat) plus veg - I won't have potatoes to keep the calories down.

So on track to be under the limit today.

Last time I did MFP, I found some days I ate fewer calories and some days slightly over but it balanced out over the week. I still managed to lose a stone in a month.

I'm coming back to it because I've had quite a stressful few months so I've eaten way to.much crap and put about 6lbs on Sad

Got a new job to start after Easter so wanting to shift the weight for that.

I'm going to treat myself to some new work clothes if I manage it Grin

I have burnt 268 calories through exercise today.(did an hour but have been doing 30mins daily since beginning normally).

My calorie allowance was set at 1200 by MFP but I increased it manually to 1500 as that is what I should be eating according to the NHS (although only met that upper limit yesterday as I had a pot noodle Blush ), I am 5ft 6 inches and weighed 14st 2lb and have dropped 3lbs since Thursday (when I began).

Dinner was venison grillsteak, sweet potato, green beans and peas. Little dressing on the veg. 476 cals.

Yesterday I had a protein bar for breakfast (after a run) - 227 calories
Lunch was a small wholemeal wrap with 2 falaffels, some salad and salsa - 204 calories
Tea was courgette lasagne (courgette strips instead of pasta sheets) with salad - 212 calories
Snacks were 2 rice cakes with philadephia light in the afternoon - 128 calories and a bowl or strawberries and grapes in the evening watching tv - 115 calories
So overall 886 and my goal is 1200 as well. I've been using MFP for a week and not gone over the allowance yet but I'm sure there will be days I do so it'll all balance out.

Lunch an avocado, 80g slice rye bread, 50g smoked salmon, some leftover chicken breast (586 cals)
Dinner will be a home made turkey burger and bun (300 cals) - and some veg or salad. Not sure what yet.
