Does anyone not track veg on MFP?

Hello, does anyone NOT count vegetables (and fruit?) when doing MFP? We eat a lot of stir frys with loads of broc, peppers, mangetout, spring onions, mushrooms and its such a fab to count the calories in them all and try and get the portion right when serving up! They are free on sw and ww! Any thoughts on this?

I don't bother much. Last week we had a stirfry. I logged the beef, noodles and oil and then thought I ought to log the veg too. It was a bit of a faff but all totted up to a bit more than I had expected!

I tend to the view that unless you're eating more or less nothing but veg it's not going to make a substantial difference.

Forgot to say I do log all fruit. Fruit is far higher in calories than veg, sadly.

I log most fruit and veg. Some can be relatively high in calories (bananas and avocados are!) also helps with the nutritional pie chart thing.

I was very shocked by how high avocados are! Potatoes obviously have to go on and I would log squash. Any veg cooked/dressed in oil/butter - the fat has to be logged, I wouldn't necessarily log the veg as well.

It depends on the vegetables - salad leaves I don't bother. I've been using it quite a while so have a good idea what calories vegetables we eat regularly have.

Potatoes, carrots, fruit, etc all get logged, and if it's a larger than normal portion of vegetables - such as cauliflower cheese.

I log everything. I guess if you are losing without accounting for the veg then all good or do you not eat your full calorie allowances and therefore allowing for the veg?

Once you have added stuff it stays on so you can justly quickly click on multiple tick. I am lucky that all my main meals get divided into four adult portions, can see it would be faffie if doing small children portions too.

I don't count veg unless it is something like corn on the cob which is reasonably high in sugar. I do count fruit and potatoes. I find thinking of veg as free helps with weight loss as I'm more inclined to snack on it instead of fruit/biscuits/etc. Nobody ever got fat from having too much veg in their stir fry!

I log everything otherwise what's the point? I'm 11lbs off my target and only losing 1lb a week so no space for wiggle room. My plan is to get used to how much I should be eating so it becomes my norm. I do cheat a bit with stir fry and buy pre packed veg. If I didn't do that I'd create a recipe and save it to use each time.
