EmpressOfThePuddle Fri 01-Feb-13 09:02:04

Morning grin
Tidying the kitchen and hoping the online shop turns up before I'm due to leave for the shop.

Tee2072 Fri 01-Feb-13 10:38:02

Morning.

Mole results back 'nothing sinister', which I think is my favourite test response ever! grin

Lovely new Puddle, thanks Empress.

I am suppose to be tidying the house today. Anyone want a brew before I get to it?

littlemisssunny Fri 01-Feb-13 10:53:40

I am off to sort socks, then meeting a friend for coffee and cake, I work in m&s in the food hall and cafe and my friend asked me to get there earlier and order her drink as she is on her lunch break, I said just text me your order!

She asked for a skinny decaf cappuccino, and I was texting her all these questions about size and does she want choc on top as they always ask that if its a skinny drink, she was laughing at me and saying she can tell I work there grin

I couldn't help it I went into cafe mode hehe!

littlemisssunny Fri 01-Feb-13 10:54:55

Oh and great news Tee I normally don't like the word sinister as it creeps me out but in this case I love it! in not scared of the dark, oh no

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 01-Feb-13 11:50:09

Great news Tee!

littlemiss, I totally read that as you were off to snort socks. grin

Thanks for the new thread Empress!

We've been to Ds1's art group this morning, and now we're watching Wall-E again.

littlemisssunny Fri 01-Feb-13 11:54:33

grin at snort socks dreamy anything would be more interesting than sorting them!

I was very good this morning and had granola with yoghurt, then I had a easter walnut whip oh well you gotta take the rough with the smooth!

great news teegrin

me and babystate had our 6wk check today, shes perfect smile but i knew that anyway, gp mildly annoyed me, said i was too young to have 3dcs sad but then where i live hes bound to be a bit judgy. going back on the pill at last, i really do not want any suprises, before though i only got 3mnths at a time, today i got a years worth shock hmm

littlemisssunny Fri 01-Feb-13 17:26:03

state how rude of him, your age doesn't mean you are a better/worse parent it really annoys me when people judge like that.

I've book a summer hol for me and the kids with my sister in a caravan getting excited already grin .

EmpressOfThePuddle Fri 01-Feb-13 17:57:17

At least now nobody should get lost! grin

That's brilliant Tee, you must be so relieved.

State, you and Babystate are doing so well! Sounds like your GP just wanted something to disapprove of.

Good for you, Sunny.

DD met me after the shop on Wed cos I was getting my hair cut next door after and she'd forgotten her key. I took her in, introduced her (and she actually smiled and chatted) and they happened to have a book she wanted so all good. I finished at 2 as normal today and got a txt saying 'Meet u at the shop?'

I'm seriously thinking about extending my Friday shift so she can when she feels like it grin

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM Fri 01-Feb-13 18:59:13

Hellooooo!

thing is he was really lovely other than that, maybe he was just suprised it was the first time ive seen him as we moved here nearly 2yrs ago and id not needed a dr before. It just makes me feel a bit insecure and i find myself saying they are all planned and the same Dad which doesnt matter nor is it anyones business and actually dc2 one hell of a suprise grin

how exciting sunny smile where are you going?

we booked a mon-fri at haven in caister for end of april, just a sun holiday but i cant wait and the big 2 dc are soo excited.

scuse the multiple replys i cant read back on my phone

littlemisssunny Fri 01-Feb-13 19:27:17

state we are going to Talacre, a village near Prestatyn.

Been there before but love it and easy enough to get to on public transport. We had a caravan there when I was little till I was about 5, and I've been 4 times with the kids.

Lovely hoseasons site.

Shaky Fri 01-Feb-13 23:15:23

Oh, new thread.
<looks round> nice, thank you <Empress>

Hello everyone!

Week 3 of phased return completed. Today, the plan was to be working with another midwife but to do my own clinic. We decided that she would see 2 patients and I would do the next 2 etc. my mate saw the first patient but I did the blood pressure, urine test, palpation and listen in while she took the notes. I said I would do the next one, it felt ok, so I did the next one and the next and before I knew it I had done the whole clinic! grin

I am going to be ok! I still get handholding next week and then will be left to my own devices shock My only problem is my normal "chat" of things to advise at the first appointment is very rusty, I felt like I was stumbling and stilted, but it will come back. I forgot my PIN number at the ATM last week. It's like going back after mat leave, like being a student again. My clinical skills are absolutely fine but my social skills have taken a battering. But the other midwife did say that the women would not realise why I have been ill.

littlemisssunny Fri 01-Feb-13 23:30:55

Waves Pom poms for shaky that's great you should be proud you have done well smile

Shaky Fri 01-Feb-13 23:45:16

Thank you sunny I will get there. I have achieved much more than I thought I would this week.

I first read your post as waves Pombears at Shaky, I thought it was ace.

If you happen to pass through Flintshire on your way to talacre, please feel free to call in at Shaky Towers for a cuppa grin

littlemisssunny Fri 01-Feb-13 23:57:51

Waves Pom bears at shaky grin

Which part of flintshire are you in? We usually visit Prestatyn, Rhyl, get the open top bus and get off at the end at Abergele/Pensarn where there is a cafe and a park. Love Lladudno too, would love to live round there smile

EmpressOfThePuddle Sat 02-Feb-13 00:47:54

Oh Shaky, that's BRILLIANT!Congratulations xxxxxx

Tee2072 Sat 02-Feb-13 08:30:53

Such good news Shaky!!! I would imagine the patients won't even notice that you're not in the swing of chat yet. Just so long as you don't look at them and say 'so it's your first?' with 6 other children sitting around them, you'll be fine. grin

great news shaky, well done grin try not to worry too much at my first mw appt with all pregnancies i was shell shocked and the mw could have been a pink hippo and i wouldnt have really noticed grin

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM Sat 02-Feb-13 13:33:29

State you can't do right for doing wrong can you, everybody has an opinion even when you've done it the 'right' way!

I don't explain when questioned, if they push I am a bit of a cow and will say 'how is that relevant?' grin (sometimes I lose my cool and stutter and make excuses - which makes me feel rubbish, so being abrupt is actually easier IMO!)

Shaky waves pombears wink well done, what a brilliant week. Don't worry about how you come across, you just do what you know and tell them what they need to know and the social interaction side will just slip in naturally.
sunny we went to the Presthaven Sands holiday park on a Sun hol a few years ago. Found it is a great base for exploring the top end of Wales. I am only a 1.5 hour drive from there so it was nice to not have to go far on holiday. Enjoy!

<hands around hot cross buns>

I'm going to my cousin's 30th birthday party tonight - music theme. I said back in Sept when she first mentioned it that I would NOT be participating as I will be fat and buying a fancy dress outfit (or making one) is an arse-ache at the best of times, let alone when you are 30 weeks pregnant!!! She seemed disappointed so I told her I would come as Pregnant Adele grin I will dress in black, put false eyelashes on and turn up and be fabulous lol!

grin brian sounds a great costume

IamtheZombie Sat 02-Feb-13 15:34:19

Zombie's just checking in. grin

EmpressOfThePuddle Sat 02-Feb-13 15:58:58

<grabs hot cross bun> I've just been to Ikea in a last ditch attempt to sort DD's room. We're going to line one wall with trofasts and then she can just pull out a box and drop stuff in. I'm recognising that putting stuff in drawers is against her religion (although last time I asked about her religion she wanted to be Muslim but eat bacon.)
I love, love, LOVE ikea's new Pick and Pack service, makes doing it by myself physically possible! And now i'm nearly home and going to go in and stick the kettle on.

EmpressOfThePuddle Sat 02-Feb-13 16:00:14

Brian, costume sounds great. <snuggles Zombie>

littlemisssunny Sat 02-Feb-13 18:55:25

Brian presthaven isn't far from Talacre you can walk there along the coastal path smile Talacre is under 2 hours drive from here but when we go with my sister we get the train but its only 2.5 hours so not bad at all. We get the open top bus to Talacre which stops at Presthaven.

I took the boys on the train to Blackpool today, been meaning to do it for ages and yesterday the forecast was nice for today. My big boy is 7 tomorrow so I thought it would be a nice surprise, it's one train from here and an hour and a half. It was a big deal for me on my own with my 2 boys as I suffer from OCD and anxiety and when the train was full of football fans that didn't help, but I did it and would do it again as we had a wonderful time, daddy was in work today and they have been telling him all about it. I'm so pleased we went I just wish I had more confidence with things like this.

Got to make a birthday cake tonight and have to work 8.30 till 11.30 tomorrow but got the afternoon off as time owing, and we are all going out for tea, and a day out together next Saturday.

empress your dd sounds hilarious grin

well done sunny i keep meaning to take the dcs somewhere on the train but worry about this that and the other and theyre still young and loopy (4&5) and now dd2 has been born thats another excuse, one day i will do it!

EmpressOfThePuddle Sat 02-Feb-13 21:43:10

<waves pombears at Sunny> I'm so glad you all enjoyed it! Good for you.

DD hasn't spoken for the past half hour. It would be a record but it doesn't really count because she's worked out how to make the computer read out anything she types. Weird voices are shouting random phrases round the flat. The last one announced

EmpressOfThePuddle Sat 02-Feb-13 21:44:06

Sorry - the last one announced that his job here was done. Followed immediately by a high-pitched female admiring DW's slippers.

giraffesCantEatNHSPotatoes Sun 03-Feb-13 00:29:58

Hello to all on the new thread smile

tee that is fab news smile

state <snort> at a years worth! Tell him you are not wanting them as you are taking a new drug that encourages you to become preg with triplets and will be ttc asap.

I feel a bit shit this week, like a zombie thing. Lethargic and a bit blah, no real excitement about anything in life. Done nothing today but sleep! this evening went to friends for cuppa - arranged for ages and not seen her for a while, went in PJS (we often do this in eve as she has shower before bed and so we sit in our pjs - I know I know!!) I nearly fell asleep on her sofa and couldn't really focus on conversation.

Managed to do some dishes, stick a wash on and fill a bag of rubbish when got home.

Tomorrow am going horse riding with boss and kids (have taken pre emptive steroids for my poor lungs) and then in eve out for a free 3 course meal for 2 (boss gave me voucher for xmas) with my new dp. Looking forwards to it but hope I feel more alive than I do now!

Tee2072 Sun 03-Feb-13 08:57:14

Morning gang

Quiet Sunday ending with dinner out for my birthday, which is on Tuesday. I will be 21. Again. And again. And again... grin

giraffes I hope you feel fantastic all day and have lots of fun.

giraffesCantEatNHSPotatoes Sun 03-Feb-13 11:41:05

grin at 21 again...we shall have a party on here for you!

I have switched to google chrome today after getting sick of ie crashing on me for the millionth time!

Feeling much better today, much more energy - although that could be the steroids that I took yesterday and this morning to counteract the horses! Will also be taking antihistamines in high doses as well as all usual asthma meds! I WILL go horse riding!

Bought a steam mop from groupon today - too exciting!

This morning i have - washed windows, done dishes, 2 loads of washing, made bed, dusted, general tidy up, had a shower and washed hair and swept floors. hmm ok I think it probably is the steroids! This is the only benefit of them I think!!

hope your having a lovely day giraffes.

we have dps mum, dad and grandma down for the day.

Tee2072 Mon 04-Feb-13 20:30:29

I too am exhausted.

State my first thought is allergies, to pollen or something, as LT has this in the morning all year round without his neo-clarytin. My second thought is early teething?

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Mon 04-Feb-13 21:49:24

Tongue tie update:

The insurance company, despite knowing the name of the practitioner and telling us to go for an initial consultation to get baby dreamy on their books (at a cost of £50) have now said the practitioner is not on their list so they will not cover it. angry

The GP gave us the name of someone who they said would be on the insurers list, and we went to see him today. He won't do it privately (apparently it's illegal to operate on a child under 13 privately) but he will do the tongue tie on the NHS. Great, but he will only do it under a GA, which scares me. The thought of my little baby going under an anaesthetic. sad

He said he knows nothing about lip ties though, which I think is what is causing the main problem with breastfeeding . So he's referred us to his colleague who is a maxillofacial surgeon and knows about that kind of thing. It will probably be about 2 weeks before we can see him, and see what he says can be done (if anything). If he can do anything about the lip tie, then he can do the TT at the same time (under GA), but if he doesn't think anything can be done about the lip tie then we will have to go back to the guy we saw today and he will do the TT.

I'm sick of being passed from pillar to post, going round in circles and being told contradicting things. angry My nipples hurt god damn it!

On the plus side, I have been bought galaxy chocolate. My Dh is the best! grin

Tee2072 Tue 05-Feb-13 08:16:37

That's really crap Dreamy. Is there anyone you can complain to?

We have declared it a snow day today as the pavements are bad and my leg hurts and it's still snowing and I'm tired and it's my birthday, dammit! [feeling lazy emoticon]

I have here a white and blue (yes, blue, see Facebook) cake with raspberry jam and dark chocolate icing. Who would like a slice and a brew?

oh dreamy what a nightmare, I do hope its all sorted soon for you. well done for sticking at it though <in awe>

baby state has her first cold and thinks we all needed to be told at great volume at almost 4am whilst refusing to feed despite looking for food like a mad baby and it being 4hrs since she last ate, she eventually calmed down and fed but did the same at 6/7ish albeit not for as long then we both slept until almost 11, stategirl is home from nursery too with a cough cold etc

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Tue 05-Feb-13 12:07:19

<grump, grump, grump>

I've been at home with a screaming DD all day. She was up every two hours last night and refused to settle in her cot. I had to work from home tomorrow as she still has a temperature and she screams when she's running low on ibuprofen as paracetamol appears to have no effect.

AND I just had to turn down a casting for tomorrow morning for me and mini-Show as I couldn't really gamble that she would be ok tomorrow morning. It was for a flippin' Sainsbury's commercial too. I ummed and ahed but think that cancelling at the last minute because she's not well would look worse than just saying no today. Still pissed off though.

giraffesCantEatNHSPotatoes Tue 05-Feb-13 21:56:04

giraffesCantEatNHSPotatoes Tue 05-Feb-13 21:57:19

showtunesgirl Wed 06-Feb-13 10:01:57

Tee2072 Wed 06-Feb-13 10:39:56

showy if you ever do figure out babies, write a book and make millions!

Arctic out there today, but at least it's not raining or snowing! Had a word with LT's teacher and she is totally confused as to why LT keeps saying this other child hits him as she's seen none of it! She will keep an eye and keep me posted.

Now, do I spend today:

A) reading the Dresden Files latest book;
B) Cleaning the downstairs of my house; or
C) Work on my company's website

Answers on a postcard!

Tee dd was the same, still says a certain boys hitting her but teacher has said they're friends, we think its just because she got a fuss made of her when he did hit her.

i still have poorly girls but tee you may have been on to something with teething sad the teething granules have calmed her right down for the first time in weeks, she just seems too small but ds was the same.

EmpressOfThePuddle Wed 06-Feb-13 15:01:20

<sets hot chocolate fudge cake on table with jug of thick cream>
The Dresden Files! Jim Butcher! Do you play, Tee?

Tee2072 Wed 06-Feb-13 15:09:07

Do I play? Play what? No, but I read!

::eats huge piece of cake::

EmpressOfThePuddle Wed 06-Feb-13 15:14:51

Play the Dresden roleplaying gaame. I tried it out last year at a convention, it's a good one.

Tee2072 Wed 06-Feb-13 15:16:41

Oh, no. I don't do RPGs. Not since I used to try to play D&D with my brother and his friends and they used to kill me off as soon as possible to get rid of me. grin

I do love the books, though. TV show was horrible, however.

showtunesgirl Wed 06-Feb-13 16:22:24

<mopes in corner>

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Wed 06-Feb-13 20:55:52

Appointment with the maxillofacial guy isn't til 6th March. I could cry! sad He only works there 2 days a month and that's the next time he's in. Can't believe how difficult this is!

State, she sounds like baby dreamy. He has been having trouble with his gums since about 4 weeks old. It flares up then dies down again for a while, and still no sign of any teeth. This usually alternates with growth spurt screaming, although sometimes they coincide. Joy!
His gums are bothering him at the moment, he slept from 7pm til 5.30 am last night, then was awake pretty much ALL DAY. He woke up and started screaming about 10 mins after I put him down for every nap and wouldn't go back off. No calpol or teething stuff is working, and he's been tired and grumpy all day. He wouldn't even sleep when I took him out in the pram! He's asleep now, after some convincing. We'll see how long that lasts...

oh dreamy it all sounds so stressful, hurry up march!

i clicked with her possibly teething when she got hold of dps finger and was really chomping on it not sucking. Its bloody horrible, all she wants is to eat and sleep and lay on me changing her nappy results in alot of tears and screaming as we've interupted her peace its heartbreaking. The big girls the same though just wanting to lie about and nap, she hasnt napped and then gone to bed well since about 18mo!!
i dont want to seem neurotic but im considering the drs for babystate dd1 has calpol and tixylix and she perks up briefly whereas pud cant have a thingsad

<carrot and orange cake anyone?>

me and babystate had a 4hr nap after we collected ds, poor boy must be feeling a bit neglected, Although i finally got him a little desk for his room which he is ridiculously happy about and along with mil giving him all of dps lego he is a busy boy which is nice as for a while he kind of lost his way and didnt play really.

EmpressOfThePuddle Thu 07-Feb-13 16:15:54

That's shit, Dreamy sad
<snuggles Dreamy and State, offers strawberry cheesecake>
State, I'm glad Stategirl's recovering, hope the rest of them feel better soon.
Tee, my brother would just look confused if I mentioned RPGs.

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM Thu 07-Feb-13 20:36:25

'ello! <offers fresh blankets, hot chocolate and tissues for those in need>

Not much happening here. Find out my c-section date on Monday - eee. Think it will be 26th March. Had told work if that is the case I will finish on 14th March using hols....am in pain with my back and tired all the time and now wondering if rahter than tag unused hols on to Jan 2014, I will just take another week off pre-baby, so potentially finish on the 7th March.

Think I am being a bit sensitive this evening, somebody just (as I interpreted it) mock laughed at something I said on a thread and it got me really pissed off. Was an advice thread, not a jokey one. The person who made the comment hasn't returned, but I am allowing it to wind me up and I shouldn't (isn't really like me to dwell on such things!)

Anyhooooo - day off tomorrow, whoooohooo!

littlemisssunny Thu 07-Feb-13 21:15:45

Brian which thread is it?

I posted on a thread earlier but had to stop reading it before I really spoke my mind grrr angry

((((((brian))))))

im just not mumsnetting atm, i come to our puddle and thats it, feeling a bit sorry for myself atm for no reason and trying very hard to keep myself in check and remember how much better my life is than this time last year and the year before, easier said than done when lilys screamed for 4 solid hours <weeps>

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM Thu 07-Feb-13 22:16:20

Update - it was just me blush I shan't say which thread as I did take the comment the wrong way adn it was aimed at the OP AND wasn't meant nastily.

I think I need to stay away (but can't seem to drag myself off!!)

State do you know, it must be something in the water - I am the same, feel so down. However, you kinda have an excuse in that you have a newborn, ill children and you know - hormones n stuff post birth which will still be settling. Add to that sleepless nights but still having to function for the rest of the family, you have every right to feel down. ((((big squishy hugs))))

At the moment, I am worrying over: (*warning 1st world problem or 2*)

not having the hall/stairs/landing decorated and having visitors. It is awful, I had started to paper in summer and then came down one morning and the cats had shredded the newly laid wall paper. At which point I gave up and cried. Then I found out I was pg, morning sickness and just trying to get on with things = decorating not top of my list. Now I am fretting, what will people think!!! Have requested help from Dad, Bro and ex - all willing to help but no idea when.

DD having 2 (looking like 3) days off school this week, due to a cold - albeit a nasty one. She was only off mid January for 2 days with a virus. Am convinced school are composing the 'shite parent/don't you know we have statistics to keep up' letter as I type shock

PGP (is same as SPD i have recently found out) - not too bad during day, although may just be getting used to being in pain, but at night - oh, I may have cried a bit last night. Needing a wee but knowing that in order to do so means rolling over in bed, which will bloody hurt, and then walkign to the loo, which will bloody hurt. I had a slight pity party.

I started a thread in Pregnancy for people to come and have a moan, there are a few of us and most are worse than me. Also, realising what it is like to live in pain (with an end in sight) makes me very humble, for those with illness/disabiilties etc with no end in sight. I should not moan as much as I do (although moaning confined to online so RL am not as much of a PITA!)

Other worries - everything. From the dogs to the cats, DD, to my nan to my mum to what my neighbours think of me (long, boring story there). Basically, some stuff I should be thinking about but a shite load of stuff I shouldn't - but my mind is on overdrive!

Also, 6.5 weeks to wait til he's here - that's an eternity <sulks> wink

See, State, I'm the one feeling sorry for myself - throw things at me preferably edible things

xxx

{{Snuggles everyone who needs them}}

<throws home made chocolate cake at brian> scuse the black chocolatw buttercream was leftover from fils cake and i obviously had to make a cake for it, although dp would have happily ate it with a spoongrin

i feel a bit better today its just the screaming does me in, shes actually very good at night snuffles for food, eats and is back to sleep again in under 15mins and often wakes just the once maybe twice smile

Tee2072 Fri 08-Feb-13 10:52:46

state I would have eaten with a spoon. grin

brian constant pain is draining whether there's an end in sight or not. Your pain isn't any less than mine because yours will end and mine won't. Pain is pain. I can't remember if you can take co-codamol while pregnant, but if you can, do. It works.

Which is my big problem right now. I've been trying to not take too much because of the addictive properties but I realized last night I was being fucking idiotic about it. So I took some before bed, after 2 nights of almost no sleep due to the pain, and actually slept until 4 and then back to sleep until the alarm at 630. So that was amazing. And took more this morning. Where's my freaking referral for my leg!?!?! angry

And breathe. I am finishing this here cuppa and then I'm off to clean the house. In laws arriving tomorrow. Place is a pit!

<shares apple pie with hugs> hope everyone is feeling ok this morning.

Just been for a swim first time in ages and I forgot how free it makes me feel, shall try going once a week.

Feeling annoyed today as we are going out tomorrow for the day and meant to be meeting friends we arranged the date in December but when we contacted them this week they have made plans as they hadn't heard from us, they don't even sound that sorry. I know I'm being really petty but if that was me I would check first before making other plans. I am going to stop complaint now as I know I'm just whinging just feels better for writing it down!

Sorry the apple pie isn't great, only made it twice and the apples I used this time turned to mush! Oh well I shall know for next time smile

Mmmm did someone say cake?

I just made some welsh cakes for my oh to take to work, his team were told that he wouldn't be doing the meeting at the beginning of every shift now, just occasionally, and when they asked if anyone had any questions they asked of he would still bring my welsh cakes in grin

It's nice to be appreciated by someone!

Tee2072 Mon 11-Feb-13 20:57:37

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM Tue 12-Feb-13 18:40:37

Hello everyone!

Hope we are all well .

I now know Baby Brian's birthday, but am not telling anybody until he's here grin

It is, coincidentally, the same day as my Nan and Granddad's 60th Wedding Anniversary [soppy heart emoticon]

Am vair excited.

In other news, P has decided he would like Baby Brian christened Catholic. I am CofE (non pracitsing) and P is Catholic (non practising) We both believe in God and have faith, but neither of us are church goers as such. I have no problem as such whether he is Catholic or CofE, I just have no idea how things work in the Catholic church, especially in relation to Godparents (none of my chosen GP's are Catholic...confused assume that means we can't have my choices?) so that's my only misgiving.

DD was christened CofE but now attends a Catholic school - so I know a little more about Catholic goings-on than before. Through school I have also got to know the church, some congregation and the Priest, who is very lovely, so that aspect makes me feel happy to have DS christened into that church IYSWIM.

I would post this in the religion topic but I fear being pounced on for wanting DS christened yet not going to church. It is something I feel is important, to have my children christened. DD is busy learning about religion and will make her own decisions when she is older as to how much she believes/whether she believes. I like to think if they know both arguments/viewpoints, it will help them form their own opinion. Plus, I do have faith, do believe, but just don't agree with all aspects of 'religion', however I have formed my opinions having had access to religion as a child and atheism as an adult (close friend who was very outspoken about it all) Blimey it's a minefield isn't it!

Right, these pancakes aren't going to make themselves (oh and I have decided to give up alcohol for Lent this year wink)

evening sorry i posted and ran i needed a quick vent because i actually thought i was going to hit him.

basically i dont know what his problem is combination of new medication, it would have been his grandads birthday and his dads in hospital for upto 4 wks. hes just stopped being switched on, he doesnt respond when i ask things i jave to repeat it several times always resulting in a whatever/upto ypu/dont mind which makes me feel he doesnt give a shit or is in a mood. He ignorea the kids until they ignore him and after bitching at me for not asking for help with babystate when i do he hands her back asap or takes so long to deal with her shes upset and that makes me bloody mad hes also very snappy and instead of communicating gives me the silent treatment and basically has a face on him like a kicked puppy.
It came to a head as i snapped at ds after asking too many times for him to calm it amd stop shouting and racing about as i was settling lily so dp shouted thus waking lily i was livid said most of what ive said here and more and he just mocked me wiggling his head like a child would and shrugging. i am not speaking to him.

Brian grin its so exciting to have a date isnt it! wrt christenings im exactly the same we did go to church though for 6mnths before ds was christened and a while after but dd put paid to it really (too shattered lol) anyway ive no idea how catholic baptisms work im afraid x

Lilys been screaming about life for forty minutes after doing that at 2ish aswell im exhausted she never does this at night

EmpressOfThePuddle Wed 13-Feb-13 09:40:54

EmpressOfThePuddle Thu 14-Feb-13 15:15:53

No, that would be us too. We had a nice lunch out Tues but it was nothing to do with Valentines.

Tee2072 Thu 14-Feb-13 15:58:01

We just exchange cards, State, since it was just my birthday and soon my husband's.

BonkeyMollocks Thu 14-Feb-13 17:01:21

Not having valentines this day - waste of time and money <scrooge>

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Thu 14-Feb-13 17:33:21

We use every excuse possible for champagne and flowers. Valentines, Birthdays, Mother's/Father's day, Wednesdays. Anything!

Tee2072 Fri 15-Feb-13 13:19:41

Afternoon all.

Very quiet around here...did we all get lives? Surely not!

Had meeting with LT's teacher and educational psychologist and he is showing signs of mild autism. So he has a plan in place to help him with his social interactions and communication and we meet again in 6 weeks to see his progress. No one is saying for sure he's autistic, as that takes many many tests and experts, but there are signs. So nothing to do but see how he does, I guess.

I, personally, feel like crap, but my bad leg hurts so much right now it's stopping me from sleeping. Yay? grin

Also, it's Fat Friday. Who wants chocolate/cake/ice cream or other?

BonkeyMollocks Fri 15-Feb-13 15:03:41

Fat Friday sounds about right - I have eaten 3 doughnuts blush bloody nice though . So nice they knocked me out shock ! Fecking carbs!

Whats wrong with you leg tee ?? <missed something somewhere>

I hope LittleTees plan helps - whether he is autistic or not. At least they are there to help! smile

Tee2072 Fri 15-Feb-13 15:11:37

Oh my leg has been bad for ages, Bonkey. Cortisone shots help but I got lost in the system and had to be re-referred so I am over due one. It's a combination of early degenerative disease, arthritis, fibro and knee surgery that removed the cartilage when I was 18. I walk with a stick, sometimes.

fat Friday sounds brilliant, i have one very unsettled baby she's asleep awake asleep awake in a 3 minute cycle since 3 and its making her sad, roll on her bedtime!

State Hope she settles!

I hope they get you sorted soon tee !

I have done BonkeyBoys room today and MY GOD that child is gross!
We now have a sticker chart for keeping it tidy wink .

EmpressOfThePuddle Fri 15-Feb-13 19:05:21

Tell me about it, Bonkey!
DD has improved, to be fair, but some of the stuff I've found in her room in the past.... the stock cube phase, for example hmm and the 'experimental potions'. I should never have let her read Harry Potter.
(((((*Tee*))))))
(((((*State*)))))) That's a beautiful smile she's got on your profile pic!

thanks express she is a little poppet but just doesn't know how to go to sleep at home so gets frustrated she's been settled nicely since bath time we'll get there...

dd1 just puked all over herself and bedroom floor please let it be a one off i have alot of plans this weeks!

Tee2072 Sat 16-Feb-13 15:56:44

Afternoon!

State I hope DD1 is okay. And that the Little Poppet slept!

Empress don't think I want to know about the stock cubes... grin

Ooops, gotta go do a puzzle, be back later!

EmpressOfThePuddle Sat 16-Feb-13 16:36:00

It was the half stock cube left in the trousers she put in the wash that did it, really. I still have the odd nightmare about what would have happened if I hadn't checked her pocket.

Tee2072 Sat 16-Feb-13 16:40:23

Laundry soup...

shock

EmpressOfThePuddle Sat 16-Feb-13 19:09:10

Exactly....

haha!

ds has a thing for blue tack its pecking everywhere how any pictures remain on the wall at his school ill never know!

dd1 woke up fine ate breakfast and was normal, Lily slept had a few brief shouts last night but settled quickly she's just so snotty I've no idea what to do tp help her we have nasosal and a snot sucker which helps briefly, trying karvol tonight. but she's generally very happy and content and she loved the chaos at soft play today weird baby.

EmpressOfThePuddle Sun 17-Feb-13 13:22:33

DD's year 6 teacher ended up banning blue tack unless it was actually on the wall holding something up as far as I remember - I think half the class were collecting it to play with at one point!

Glad DD1's feeling better.

year 6! you mean I've got 5 more years of this!

my day started brilliantly but all travelled at 4ish when the big two got moody and rowed and upset dd2 until i sent them to bed, dd2 hasn't had more than a 20 min nap since them as they were so loud so se had her bath and has crashed out after her feed poor wee thing.

off to jimmys farm tomorrow grin anyone watch the tv series?

EmpressOfThePuddle Sun 17-Feb-13 20:19:30

I think their bluetack fad only lasted a term or so so hopefully DS will lose interest soon grin
Jimmy's farm? Is he that friend of Jamie Oliver? Have fun.

Tee2072 Sun 17-Feb-13 20:46:58

Evening all.

Off to Disney store tomorrow to let A Small Boy™ chose his 50 star reward! He either wants a 'Very Big Lightening McQueen' or 'Mater and Someone else'. grin
