EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 11-Oct-12 21:09:24

<Unpacks fleeces and wraps State up>

Luffly fire, Bonkey. State, here's some cake and a glass of water. We'd have come to find you, promise.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 11-Oct-12 21:10:17

Welcome to the party, SoggyMoggy! Have a wine

I can't post pictures on my phone, this may be the push to make me buy a new charger.

<Lays out crisps, pork pies, mini quiches and lots of naice cakes, pastries and biscuits and snuggles back down.>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 21:18:18

Howdy Soggy .

<pops champers>

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Thu 11-Oct-12 21:23:22

Love the fires Bonkey. All three of them! Very cosy.

Hi Soggy.

Glad you found it State. I used the board link from earlier in the other thread to track it down.

<Stuffs face with anything edible>

I just refreshed active until something appeared <no good in a flap>

Got I'm a hormonal state this evening! I've wanted a kindle for years, finally had the spare cash for one for my birthday this year and the car broke so sorted that instead I was fine about it, things like that I just shrug and move on, but now my tosser step dads brought my Mum one for her birthday when she's never asked for one, actually ever mentioned one ever. He has form for this kind of thing, uses a 'nice thing' to slyly be mean to me, and I'm so hormonal I'm really tearful about it, how sodding pathetic am I! Dps said he'll try and get me one before her birthday in dec, but that's silly and ridiculous, so why am I upset!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 21:38:43

To cheer up State!

I have a prick of a stepdad too so your not alone there! Your pregnant, more than allowed to get upset whenever you want about whatever you want! Its in the pg rules!

<big snuggles>

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 11-Oct-12 21:43:24

<snuggles State from other side>

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Thu 11-Oct-12 21:45:52

What an arse State. Don't worry, books are still superior! I have come round to the idea of Kindles recently, so have asked Dh for one for christmas, but I will always prefer my luffly books.

Can anyone tell me - if I name change to a Halloween name, can I change back to this one after? Or do name changes leave your old nn unusable?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 11-Oct-12 21:48:25

I've changed to and from EmpressOfTheSevenOceans dozens of times now Dreamy, it's no problem.

Just been sending out change of address cards so people will know where to find us. Done Tee, Brian, Zombie, Maryz - anyone else?

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Thu 11-Oct-12 21:50:00

Puddle humper jumper?

MaryZed Thu 11-Oct-12 21:52:24

Hello everyone.

I'm just popping in as I'm exhausted from that fucking thread hmm and Empress sent me the address.

However, I can't post any links, as my wimbledon links causes uproar (I hadn't scrolled right down and there was a surprise at the bottom).

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 11-Oct-12 21:54:54

Ok sent one to Puddlejumper. Hello Maryz, looks like HQ are on the case at least. Have a wine and some cake.

Wimbledon links?

MaryZed Thu 11-Oct-12 21:57:44

Don't ask.

I gave MrsVamos a heart attack.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 11-Oct-12 21:58:53

Must definitely go & investigate that later....

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 21:58:57

Hmm... I remember this link!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 11-Oct-12 21:59:48

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:00:25

MaryZed Thu 11-Oct-12 22:04:53

I could post a link if you like (but you might not like).

I was vair embarrassed blush. So embarrassed I remember clearly how and where I found it blush

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:10:45

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:12:13

MaryZed Thu 11-Oct-12 22:15:56

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Thu 11-Oct-12 22:29:33

Dammit my halloween name is too long. sad

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:32:15

What is it Dreamy ?

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff Thu 11-Oct-12 22:41:33

Oh, oh. I can't actually breathe, am laughing so much! Poor Maryz, such an innocent thing, to link and not scroll down - oh, my sides hurt!

In other news....

Hello fellow PuddleHumpers! Naice in here innit!

Off to bed now, with a big smirk on my face grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:43:31

Innocent thing to link?
Naked tennis players? hmm

Me thinks Mary knew wink !

MaryZed Thu 11-Oct-12 22:49:28

I didn't, I swear.

I was searching for this and I over-googled. I only looked at the first picture.

And what was worse, I was using dd's laptop at the time. I really hope she never checked her history, as I didn't want to delete it as I didn't let her at the time blush.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:51:25

Yes very innocent Mary hmm .

<am still laughing like a twat, dh is home I showed him, I got hmm>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:52:03

Is that the standard naked tennis player pose?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 11-Oct-12 22:53:38

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 05:49:29

I'm here! Thank you empress for the PM!

Maryz I am shocked at you! Shocked! And highly amused. grin

I was awake at 4 again. I hate my brain.

How much rent do we need to pay SP for the use of her topic? Three wine and 4 biscuit enough? grin

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 06:01:54

And this is to start my day off right. grin

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 06:02:49

Hey! Why did that not work?!?!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 12-Oct-12 07:19:02

I think wine and biscuit sounds fair.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 08:08:44

Tee It seems to take ages before you can see but it does work.

Someone should complain in site stuff really but I debt think we should in case we get caught and moved shock .

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 08:19:05

Btw Im not complaining about seeing him twice !wink

jetstar Hello to you! Snuck in quietly! smile

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 08:27:10

I didn't think you were bonkey. We should all see Jeremy Renner twice on a Friday morning. ::nods::

Who's that then ^ <clueless> I'm an Rpatz girl girl myself blush

Well I'm up, the idea of a coach full of 3/4yos is not filling me with joy --even less so the wonderful moronic parents our school attracts-- we did a whole school trip to bewilderwood last year, the coach journey nearly pushed me to hard drugs!

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 08:39:53
DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 09:12:54

I wanted NightmareSleepyNightyScarySnooze Bonkey, but it's too long. Any other suggestions anyone?

Congratulations Zombies! It's a bit early for wine, but I think you deserve it in this case!

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 09:17:30

This is who I use to brighten up my day. grin

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 09:18:47

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 09:29:26

Right dreamy , hows bout.... NightmareSleepyScarySnoozy ??

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 09:40:24

Fuck bollocks shit bollocks FUCK!!!!!!

Dh need s slap! Lazy fucking arse is skiving off work because he says 'hes ill' . He not fucking ill, he is tired because he stayed up until 4am playing Super Fucking Mario!! angry

I was looking forward to a few hours of me time and he has fucked it up! angry angry

He is in major bad bonkey books!!

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 09:47:31

Yeah but it's just not the same Bonkey! <wails> My nn is a Father Ted quote so I wanted to keep it as similar as possible. I might have to go for something completely different…

I wish my Dh had skived off. I'm ill (for real, not just tired!) and need looking after. Tell your Dh to stay in bed, so he doesn't disturb your me-time. Or to stay downstairs if you want the bed!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 09:51:39

Pah! No chance of him getting out of that bed until 12 earliest.

I may have to put on some rather loud annoying music while I sort some bits out wink .

Hope you feel better soon Dreamy !

Will think about namechange!

MaryZed Fri 12-Oct-12 09:52:57

I have dh and ds1 home sick atm.

I might have to go out angry

Well I'm on a coach full of jeremy kyle guests, seriously you could not make up the LOUD conversations I'm having to listen to, the current gem, not wearing seatbelts as in a crash they'll crush and kill you, they're only for when you sleep <bangs head on window repeatedly>

I need to visit here frequently just so my brain doesn't melt!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 12-Oct-12 11:28:10

Oh lovely....

Hope the park makes up for the coach!

<looks at assorted beefcakes on walls>

SayCoolNowSayWhip Fri 12-Oct-12 13:07:33

Crikey it's been too long since I've been here. We can do pictures now?? Kerazy stuff!

Ta for the link EMpress thanks

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 12-Oct-12 13:16:15

You're welcome, great to see you! Have some cake and a brew.

How are you? How are DD & the bump?

SayCoolNowSayWhip Fri 12-Oct-12 13:29:08

We are fine thank you! I now have a nice bump. Am still throwing up but have anti-vom pills which is nice.

When I can work out how to do it I will upload my groovy alien-baby scan pic smile

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 12-Oct-12 13:37:21

It's very easy, not too different from uploading to FB. When you're doing a message you'll see a box underneath saying Image. Click on Browse, then find the pic in your computer. It will initially look like the pic's not in the message but it comes up after a couple of minutes.

Anti-vom pills must be very nice!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 13:58:22

Can only do it on a pc or laptop though!

Major fault on MNHQ's part!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 12-Oct-12 14:07:27

It's probably on their long list.

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 14:35:44

Hi Whippy! Glad you found us!

For the people who are returning to the puddle, I was OI til I name changed. grin

Welcome back whippy

dinosaur adventure was pretty good, too much time on foot for waddly pregnant lady, luckily we bagged better seats on the coach for the way back away from jeremy kyles guests. Still need some brain bleach if anyone has some!

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 14:50:53

Dreamy can I hold the baby? I need some snuggles...

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 16:34:24

Of course Tee. Here you go, snuggle away. You ok?

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 17:13:03

I just haven't been sleeping well and snuggling my 3 year old is lovely but not as lovely as a baby!

::snuggles in::

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 17:26:46

After all my organising efforts...its now, yet again, a mess! blush

Busy morning resulted in a slightly stressed Bonkey confused .

On the plus side, since I stsrted selling last Weds I have made....wait for it....£31.88 ! Woooo! Thats £31.88 more than i have made in nearly 5 years!

<stupidly happy!>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 17:27:12

<passes State some brain bleach>

That's brilliant bonkey well done smile

<drowns brain in bleach>

Well I've had a bit of good news, depends how you look at it really, me and dp have been granted a debt relief order and we have the money to pay the fee to do it asap, so after 5yrs of way too much hanging over us --and not daring park on our own drive incase a bailiff clamped the car-- we will be free.

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 17:42:23

I think that's good news, state!

Our PPI cheque just cleared and it is amazing to have the overdraft paid off and a bit extra in the bank. Hasn't been that way in years.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 17:50:29

Great news State and Tee !

Yay for financial freedom! grin

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 17:51:18

Well done Bonkey! When we finally move house I want to start sewing cushion covers/curtains etc and selling them. I'm really looking forward to it, we have no room for a sewing machine here though, so I'll have to wait. sad

Good news State! A weight off your shoulders.

Hope you get some better sleep soon Tee. My 3 yr old is far too boney and fidgety to snuggle with. I agree that baby snuggles are much better!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 17:56:04

Dreamy I would love to be able to sew, but I just don't have the patience and sewing machine's give me brain ache! grin

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 20:18:00

NotSoDearH has given me his cold!

And I can't take Lemsip due to all my other meds.

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 20:46:29

Do any of us not have this cold yet? sad Can you take paracetamol Tee? A hot blackcurrant cordial and a couple of paracetamol is almost as good as a lemsip...

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 20:47:46

sad Tee

ZombTEE Fri 12-Oct-12 20:49:08

That's why I can't take them, Dreamy. I take massive amounts of paracetamol already for chronic pain.

And I hate blackcurrant.

Do you think red wine and paracetamol might help as well?

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Fri 12-Oct-12 20:59:00

Wine cures everything doesn't it?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 12-Oct-12 21:06:51

What Dreamy said! wink

I've had the 'fake' pregnancy cold since 12wks, constantly snuffly and blocked up, its annoying. Flu jab tomorrow, anyone else had one? Is it horrible? <Wimp>

I may be dipping out more than I want to o2 has been down on and off today and we've no wifi atm, I get about 30mins of internet before it goes for 3hrs again, no phone signal makes me stressed!

ZombTEE Sat 13-Oct-12 08:35:32

Bad night, cold not much better...but I've lost .5 kilos!! YAYAYA ME! grin

That's what happens when you walk at least 3 and more usually 6 miles a day to get a small child to school. grin

Shaky Sat 13-Oct-12 10:29:58

Yay, I found you! The new puddle is lovely! I thought I'd lost you <sobs>

<brings cake, champers and pick & mix as puddle warming present>

I love the pictures!

I'm sorry I have been absent from the puddle, I have been getting in a bit of a tizz about going back to work (been off for 8 weeks, had a bit of a shitty time). It was a tad scary going back but I think I'll survive.

How is everyone?

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Sat 13-Oct-12 11:09:40

We're all full of cold Shaky! Hope you've got a mask on to avoid all our germs. The puddle should be quarantined!

Hope all goes well at work. smile

Shaky Sat 13-Oct-12 11:13:50

Thanks Dreamy

<puts on mask and hands out lemsips>

I'm a tough bird, I hardly ever get colds.
I hope everyone feels better soon.

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Sat 13-Oct-12 11:54:51

I never got colds til I had children. Lousy germ-riddled children!

I was brave and had my flu jab this morning it was ok actually, I'm a huge wimp usually.

Well done tee grin

I got a huge bundle of silicon (sp) cakey stuff today from a friend, ill be baking this week!

Shaky Sat 13-Oct-12 12:51:41

Well done State real flu when you are upduffed is horrendous.

How's the baby Dreamy?

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff Sat 13-Oct-12 13:41:57

<wipes leaky eye>

<blows nose>

yep, I'm full of a cold too - boooo!

To brighten me up, having recently discovered True Blood, I will link to the lovely Stephen Moyer (who actually isn't that fit in real life, but as a vamp he ticks all my boxes)

mmmm hairy chest grin

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff Sat 13-Oct-12 13:50:41

apparently he's put weight on

shock horror.

I think any journalist making comments on a celebrities weight/lack of, should be made to put a pic of themselves on the article, to be rated by the public.

I did think the media reserved this kind of shite for women, it would appear they are now widening their net. Tossers. I often look at 'weight gain' pics and think - erm, no, they just look normal to me.

This is why I don't buy celeb mags and the like, it makes me stabby.

My one pleasure in life is Googling fit True Blood cast members though, so I unfortunately stumbled across the lovely Mr Moyer being described as 'portly' pah!

I'm sure he's distraught of course.

needs to do housework and can't be arsed

Oh and I have a baking question - before we get told off for lack of cake debating. Can you freeze homemade cake batter?

I've never frozen cake batter, but I have cooked cupcakes etc and they were fine.

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze Sat 13-Oct-12 14:58:04

No idea about the cake batter, sorry Brian. Hmm, not sure we belong here really!

That is such a load of bullshit. What a complete non-story. Is there no worthier news for the DM to report? He looks absolutely fine!

"Scantily clad: Armed with his blue and white body-board, Stephen wore nothing on the beach but a pair of black swim trunks."

What the hell else would he wear on the beach? And his shorts came nearly to his knees! Hardly 'scantily clad'!

Sorry, got a bit mad there. That sort of thing makes me stabby too Brian.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sat 13-Oct-12 16:32:33

<dashes in> *Dreamy! How about ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo? Or something like that?

Welcome back Shaky.
<grabs handful of pick n mix>
<dashes back out>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 16:47:10

I luffs True Blood!

<scatters tissues around for the snifflers>

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff Sat 13-Oct-12 18:09:54

<faints> <stops self licking screen>

It took me a while (am only halfway through season 2) but I am seeing how sexy Alexander Skarsgard is. I get it now.

When my friends told me about True Blood they would back it up with 'look at this guy' and show me either Alexander or Stephen (first name terms), I have to say I didn't really see the attraction of either...but now I am hooked on the show, yeah, I'd chuck neither out of bed for wearing socks wink

Glad I am not the only one who gets ranty/stabby at non-stories. I have been known to seethe after a quick glance through a magazine stand grin

as its the cake topic, this is my latest creation, im at my mums so finally using a laptop and had no idea what to post <boring> but needed to post a pic!

I've not seen any true blood.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 18:24:07

Brian Alcide is ^ there! He is MINE!!!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 18:24:36

That cake is gorgeous State !

Thanks bonkey its the only pic on my mums laptop that's mine and I needed to post a picture smile

Btw she saw I'd liked your page and LOVES your jewellry so I now have not so subtle hits from her as to what she'd like, I must go check out your new beads and pm you x

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 18:30:26

No problem, whenever your ready. I have a few more beads in too. Made a few bits last night with them, pics on page smile

You neeeeed to see True Blood, if for nothing else but the fit men! wink

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff Sat 13-Oct-12 18:46:41

I don't know who Alcide is, he isn't in it so far (season 2)...he is a hottie.

In my quest to find lovely pics of Eric and Bill (worst vamp names EVER) I unearthed a few spoilers and am distraught sad

I will persevere though.

Oh - am I supposed to think Sookie is an annoying bint who quite frankly needs to get a grip?? takes my Bill lust too seriously

State I can highly recommend Bonkey's jewellery - my mum's birthday present arrived yesterday, so beautiful! Am just waiting for mum to open her present so I can leave a comment on your page and link to my FB smile

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 18:50:20

Brilliant Brian i was just about to pm you and ask! It seems Mr Postie got a wiggle on!

I can't remember when Alcide joins but he has given me many a happy dream wink .

ZombTEE Sat 13-Oct-12 19:12:42

Evening all.

::Drags slanket to sofa and snuggles down::

Cold that was subsiding has come back. So much for paracetamol and wine.

Fab cake, State.

I've never seen True Blood. I'm pretty much done with vampires now that Buffy and Angel are off the air. Rather watch Fringe and/or Supernatural although the latter is lacking this series.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 13-Oct-12 19:40:40

Thanks Empress! I love it. grin

Baby is great thanks Shaky. Apart from wanting to start the day at 5am, then falling back asleep as soon as Ds1 wakes up so I have to get up. <yawn>

I'm also hiring him out for Puddle-Snuggles™. He can make any bad mood vanish with a whiff of his head and a squidge of his cheeks.
(Results may vary. Side effects include broodiness, vomit-in-cleavage syndrome and temporary talking in silly ikkle baby-waby voice)

Love the cake State!

I've also never seen True Blood. I'm not really into vampires, although I was surprised to find I really enjoyed the Twilight books. Well, 2 of them. The other 2 were rubbish. Can't remember which though! I know I like the first one, and not the second, but not sure about the last 2.

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sat 13-Oct-12 19:45:43

ah, Puddle-Snuggles™ grin

I've just felt baby jiggles for the first time grin

Not wind, definitely NOT wind.

My ginger cat was lying on my tummy having cuddles (they are lovely, and dribbly....eeew) and he was purring so much and then I felt little jiggles right under where he was sitting grin

Cat is now being 'danced' around the living room by DD. He isn't impressed but the dog is jealous.

Another normal night chez Brian grin

ZombTEE Sat 13-Oct-12 19:48:00

Awww, how lovely, Brian. grin

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 13-Oct-12 19:54:26

That's so exciting Brian! He/She will be booting the crap out of you before long!

Lovely that your cat got to share the first movements!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 20:09:24

Awww Brian

State your mum is shopping wink

<snuggles in>

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sat 13-Oct-12 20:16:38

<snuggles in>
Good, Screamy, it suits you!
Oh Brian, that's lovely.
*Gorgeous cake, State. I think we should paper the walls with your creations so we can show them to HQ or the thread if they drop in.
<makes Tee a hot chocolate with whisky in>

ZombTEE Sat 13-Oct-12 20:22:15

Ta Empress.

Chocolate is always good. Whisky even better. grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 20:25:09

Could I have one too please Empress ?

bonkey she better bloody not be, that women is IMPOSSIBLE to buy for I will actually kill her this time if she buys what I've had my eye on <shuffles off to facebook, runs back for a quick sniff of baby dreamys head>

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 13-Oct-12 20:33:11

I made myself very ill with whisky once, so I can't drink, or even smell it anymore. envy << vomit face

Can I have rum in mine? Just a drop, don't want to get the baby pissed.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 20:36:14

grin State

Screamy I have done that! Prom night was a excellent night , but the price paid was a major aversion to Vodka!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 13-Oct-12 20:42:01

I've made myself very ill on vodka many a time too, but for some reason it's never put me off. It doesn't have a smell or taste like whisky does though, so when it's mixed with coke I hardly know it's there! Dangerous!

My crazy days of drinking spirits and partying are a distant memory though. I'm currently spending a wild Saturday night stitching the crotch of Dh's suit trousers. grin

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sat 13-Oct-12 21:04:18

Hot chocolate with whisky for Bonkey and me, with rum for Screamy, whipped cream and marshmallows of course - forgot to ask Tee so hope you like them. Anyone else?

ZombTEE Sat 13-Oct-12 21:15:16

I'll skip the marshmallows, thanks. Only ever like them burnt over a campfire...and yet, I hate camping...

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 21:18:32

I'll have Tee's <pig>

She is a nightmare bonkey I spent the day at hers today and she was saying how much she loved your page, I'd quietly told her DH I was looking at some bits so if she mentioned anything let me know, I knew that first butterfly one you posted she'd love and was hoping to suprise her <screams into pillow> but on the plus side I now know she likes it for sure and want to get her a few bits.

Vodka disagrees with me too screamy I end up loud stupid then asleep and grumpy, I'm not much of a drinker to be honest, go through phases but as a rule go months/years without a drink.

empress I figured we could use my cakes If HQ ever tells us off for not strictly belonging here, I have a few of my best ones on my profile here but as I have most of you on fb they get shown there first, I won't lie I do like showing them off, I've never been good at anything and whilst I know I'm not a patch of professionals I'm proud of what I do.

I'm watching Dogma, anyone seen it? I got sucked in by fallen angels.

ZombTEE Sat 13-Oct-12 21:25:47

We started watching it, State, but my husband watches In the Thick of It at 930 so we switched over.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 13-Oct-12 21:27:33

Oh I like Dogma, but Dh is watching The Jerk.

I've not been paying enough attention, me and dp have been discussing christmas and baby state hadn't moved much today and I got upset, fine now I've eaten and had a v cold drink, I also lack an attention span it seems these days.

Saturday night tv is pretty dire though isn't it, what would I do without mumsnet.

Shaky Sat 13-Oct-12 22:19:11

Oh Bonkey do you make jewellery too?

I make and sell charm bracelets and shamballa style bracelets. I have boxes of stuff I made on mat leave that I need to sell (but can't be arsed selling it)

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 22:23:53

Shakey Would you like a pm linky for a look?

State Its shit! Is bump ok?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 22:24:43

I have to say, the organisation of selling it is getting on top of me a tad. I need to work out a system somehow....

Shaky Sat 13-Oct-12 22:27:50

Ooh yes please*Bonkey*!

I keep buying beads, making stuff but not selling it, 'tis a pita.

I have broken my glasses and am sitting here wearing my prescription sunnies as they are my only spare pair. I look a twat and can hardly see!

Shaky Sat 13-Oct-12 22:28:21

Bold fail, sorry!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 22:31:50

Pm'd you.

Its so addictive buying beads.

grin at your glasses .

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 22:32:30

The shamballa bracelets are selling really well at the moment. You should try shifting them. I cba with the braiding.

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream Sat 13-Oct-12 22:45:35

This place is looking well.

I'm glad I gave it to respectful people grin

No one seems to.want to take to me, I think my name intimidates people grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 22:48:29

welcome here sp! @)

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 22:48:52

wow great typing bonks hmm

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream Sat 13-Oct-12 22:51:24

I know you want me to fuck off but can't say seen as I'm your threadlord! grin

Just wasted hours of my life on X Factor

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 22:52:33

Ha, yes me too, although I have the laptop for distraction!

I don't know why but the word threadlord makes me think of worms confused .

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream Sat 13-Oct-12 22:53:42

Same for me now you have mentioned it!

Felt I had a powerful name then too grin

I think so bonks I've had several wriggles this evening but this little so n so seems to be busy for days then have a quiet few, then busy again, been the same since I first felt movements. Doesn't take the panic away, not helped by the fact this week its a year since I got the bfp for the baby we lost at 14wks so it sets me off worrying.

<Offers round prawn crackers and malteasers>

I have a huge list of things my mum likes from your page now, going to consult with the dcs as I like there input and I will get round to pming you smile

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 13-Oct-12 23:06:41

<refuses prawns crackers>
<snaffles malteasers>

Must be worry State <more snuggles >

You and your mum.made me chuckle earlier grin

Ds is still awake hmm.

grin we are both terrible for forgetting people can see us on facebook, last week I gleefully told her getting her puppy a vasectomy would mean they actually removed his balls, as adorable as he is he shows them off a lot, we always had girl dogs so this alarms my Mum, and has turned into a strange family joke, but this conversation was had on her timeline, she got some very interesting comments at the PTA meeting the following monday blushgrin we do have a laugh.

My arms seriously throbbing from the flu jab now!

Gave up on dogma at the poo demon thing, watching meet the fockers but think my bed is calling, totally shattered!

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream Sat 13-Oct-12 23:44:32

state that cake you made was brilliant.

I can't bake at all never mind do magic things like make pictures out of icing!

I had a great cake for my 18th. I'd post it but don't know how

Shaky Sat 13-Oct-12 23:59:18

Aw bless you state, your poor arm. Have you had the whooping cough jab too?

My other piece of news is I applied to be a mystery shopper and have been accepted! I'm just waiting for an assignment, I'm very excited smile

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sun 14-Oct-12 00:38:09

I used to do mystery shopping Shaky, it's fun! DD loves shamballa, seems to be very in at the moment.

SP (fantastic Hallowe'en name!), it's easy - do you see the box under the message box that says Image: on one side and Browse on the other? It's just like attaching something to an email. Click on Browse, find the picture you want and then post. The picture will appear a little while after the message comes up.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sun 14-Oct-12 01:37:15

<sneaks back in from Chaos's party thread, trying not to trip over sleeping Puddlehumpers & threadlord>

<sticks breakfast menu up on wall>

I've asked a few people round for breakfast but I don't know how many are coming, we should have enough though. If Showtunesgirl comes she's bringing blueberry pancakes to share.

<snuggles up in duvet between Shaky and State>

Morning all!

My whooping cough one is tuesday shaky going to ask for the other arm to be used, feel like I've been punched a lot from the flu jab but its all worth it.

Thanks sps love the new NN grin I had a lovely pink 18 for my 18th, my party theme was pink n punk, it was fantastic! Picture postings really easy, like on email, but can only be done on the desktop site <grumble>

empress that breakfast looks amazing!

showtunesgirl Sun 14-Oct-12 09:36:38

I have the pancakes. Honey and butter on them everyone?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sun 14-Oct-12 09:54:24

Yes please! I'm going to put everything out on the sideboard for people to help themselves.

showtunesgirl Sun 14-Oct-12 09:56:34

In true Hobbit style, I'm going to make second breakfast in a bit. Chorizo and scrambled eggs on homemade bread anyone?

I've just put the coffee on too.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sun 14-Oct-12 10:03:13

Sounds wonderful!

I'll have a bit of everything --because in reality I have the exceptionally dull shreddies--

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sun 14-Oct-12 10:26:00

<fills State's plate>

DW had the flu jab and she said the same about her arm, I think it took 3 or 4 days to get better.

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sun 14-Oct-12 11:43:25

<stumbles in>

<sees food>

<eats everything>

ZombTEE Sun 14-Oct-12 12:31:34

Yum! Thanks everyone. I actually just woke up about 40 minutes ago! Finally, some sleep.

I probably shouldn't say this...but my flu jab stopped hurting sometime yesterday...I got it last Saturday.

Now I really need a brew!

showtunesgirl Sun 14-Oct-12 12:59:13

Humph, no chorizo and eggs as DH doesn't fancy anything with pork today. Pork overload whilst up in Melton Mowbray! So fair enough.

But now we have to go for lunch at my IL who are the worst vegans ever. I have nothing against veganism, I just object to bad cooking which my MIL is the queen of.

show we were in Melton last week! smile

showtunesgirl Sun 14-Oct-12 14:36:45

Ooh really?

I am currently stuck in the back of a car. DD has NOT had lunch as we should have been there by now and I am royally pissed off at DH.

DP has family there and all over leicestershire, we almost moved to a place there lovely town. We went to the food festival but wound up in the kettleby cross with two grumpy dcs.

Hope you get lunch for DD soon (have been in that situation more than once) xx

Shaky Sun 14-Oct-12 21:23:01

I didn't manage to get any new glasses so I'm wearing my sunglasses at night, in the house, again.

I look ridiculous!

A trip to vision express in the morning I think, they couldn't do anything today.

I looked a right pillock in the shoe shop with ds wearing sunglasses today sad

Oh shaky you poor love, hope they can sort you out tomorrow, if it helps I find very few people actually look at you mostly people look past or through you when in town etc.

Shaky Sun 14-Oct-12 22:09:21

That is true State I never notice anyone else when I'm out shopping. I'm too busy trying to get in and out of the shops before ds has a meltdown or declares that he needs a wee, NOW! THAT'S when people look at you!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 14-Oct-12 22:22:44

My favourite 'please don't look at me' moment....Ds was about 2 and said, very, very loudly "Mummy, why do you have a cock" blush blush blush .

I had just started wearing a watch! hmm

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 14-Oct-12 22:23:10

The guinea pigs are farting and it stinks!

Shaky Sun 14-Oct-12 22:44:36

Arf Bonkey, I just spluttered my wine at that!

My ds asked yesterday, "Mummy, where's your willy?"

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 14-Oct-12 22:48:41

Ah yes , had that one grin .

Dd decided to sit in the bathroom with me while I had a bath today, by sit in the bathroom I mean perch on the toilet lid like gollum staring at me with a strange expression and clearly fighting her 3yo urges to say fecking odd things, she finally spoke, "can I touch your nipple, its nice" I replied "no dd, can you go away now" she shuffled off looking pretty pissed at me.

Kids are so damn strange! Well mine are.

Shaky Sun 14-Oct-12 23:24:51

Blindly state if ds was in the bathroom with me in the bath he would have climbed in fully clothed! He still thinks its hilarious to pull down my top to see mummy's boobies!

A bath is a rare treat in this house, I tend to set my alarm and get showered and dressed before ds gets up, otherwise the whole day descends into chaos and I would never get clean. I honestly don't know how others cope with more than one child <uses advancing age as excuse> and working.

Shaky Sun 14-Oct-12 23:27:10

Blindly was meant to be blimey!

Appropriate typo tho! Christ, I can't wait to get my new specs!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Mon 15-Oct-12 08:00:50

Awful nights sleep. Im dizzy Im so tired sad
Going to drop ds off and curl up on the sofa with a duvet !

<lays out breakfast>

shaky she'd already tried that but dp had got her dressed and done her hair before I was up and I bribed her to stay out by promising a visit to her cousins. I shower usually too but for once I had time and dp was watching the dcs, although aparently not the girl one!
I've had ds and Dd together that long I can't remember how it was with just one, despite my initial 'it will be fine' attitude the leap to 3 is making me slightly more anxious than it did. But the big two will be 4.1 and 5.5yo so plenty old enough to behave, I hope!

Same here bonkey <drags out quilts and cushions>

ZombTEE Mon 15-Oct-12 11:31:33

Morning all.

Busy morning of school run, new client meeting, old client work and peanut butter toast. grin

Bonkey I hope you get some rest.

You too, State.

::hands round pillows, duvets and cake::

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Mon 15-Oct-12 17:28:22

Well i nearly murdered the Asda delivery man today!
I finally drop off to sleep, then at 11 i get a phonecall asking if its ok to deliver early angry . Not only that they forgot the parsley which results in pissy pigs! hmm

On the plus side...when I get angry i get a mad urge to clean, so i managed to catch up with the housework and its now gleaming! smile

Oh bonkey what knobbers! I don't get on with asda home delivery, they took my payment twice far too many times and the substitutes I got sometimes made me stabby! Fresh mint in place of rennies anyone? Atleast your house is clean now grin

I got ministate a 'my first christmas ever' tshirt today after standing in a blacked out tesco for 10minutes, it was most eerie!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Mon 15-Oct-12 20:21:20

Its only the 2nd time Ive had a delivery, each time theres been something wrong!

Love those tshirts! Not long now!!!

ZombTEE Mon 15-Oct-12 20:44:59

I've heard ASDA is the worst. I use Tesco and they aren't perfect but they aren't horrid either!

How sad is that in this modern era that that's the best you can say about a huge supermarket chain? Whatever happened to customer service?

showtunesgirl Mon 15-Oct-12 20:47:39

I'm just doing my Ocado shop now. Here's hoping they don't deliver me a bag of piss! grin

ZombTEE Mon 15-Oct-12 20:49:54

I wish we had Ocado here...bag of piss?!?! Well, I was envy until you said that!

showtunesgirl Mon 15-Oct-12 20:58:51
ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 15-Oct-12 20:59:45

I used to use Ocado, but they cocked up too many times. I've used Sainsburys for years now, and never had a single problem.

<Sings lullabies and hands out horlicks to help Tee, Bonkey and State sleep tonight>

Shaky Mon 15-Oct-12 21:01:06

The ocado bag of piss thread was hilarious, it deserves a place in classics.

I had my eye test today and pick up my glasses tomorrow! Yay!

The work started on building our conservatory today. Ds was fascinated, watching the builders through the window all day. He did get a bit upset when they started digging up the grass. "Mummy, the builder is breaking the garden!! The grass is all BROKE!!!!"

If I was posh it would be an orangery, however, I am common so it's a conservatory.

<snuggles under duvet>

ZombTEE Mon 15-Oct-12 21:05:02

No, I hadn't seen that, I don't read the food topic. That's brilliant!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Mon 15-Oct-12 21:20:43

Ah yes the piss thread grin

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 15-Oct-12 21:21:02

Oh I missed that one, thanks Showtunes!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Mon 15-Oct-12 21:21:29

I am trying to talk someone through signing up to paypal so they can buy my stuff, its not as tricky as she is making out is it? hmm

Shaky Yay for the galsses!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 15-Oct-12 23:47:05

Not at all, Bonkey. They don't even need to be a member - we use paypal on our website at work and there's an option for paying by card without having to sign in.

Great about the glasses, Shaky.

We use Ocado, they have their moments but they're mostly good.

<snuggles under duvet>

I told my mum to get paypal and she managed it without further instruction, she gets my name wrong every visit despite me being her ONLY child for 17yrs, so no it is NOT hard to get paypal bonkey

I've just lost my evening, if anyone sees it I want it back, it started somewhere around the time I took dd to bed and vanished beneath me sorting all there old clothes out and earning £70 via facebook selling pages with it all. Worth it, but now I'm wide awake but exhausted and have had no down time!

I started reading bag of ocado piss thread the other day but was waiting for the shouts of troll so backed away as I can't stand all that. May go read it again if its safe smile

I've tried delivery from everywhere and in store and honestly best service I've found is Aldi, our local store is clean tidy and has really friendly helpful checkout staff so I mainly go there and then nip to the others when I need to.
shaky my ds would be in heaven at yours, he loves harassing watching anyone work, we used a mobile mechanic a couple of times this year who's very tollerant of a nosy 5yo. I do get scared when the LL comes out to do work, ds has a habbit of speaking way too much.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Tue 16-Oct-12 00:01:15

<lugs duvet over to lie next to State and whisper>

Getting it delivered just feels so much easier. And it means we can look at the trolley and cost at the end then go through putting back the stuff we don't really need / can't afford. Facebook selling pages? I've got to try that.

When DD was 4ish she used to sit staring at the toilet door whenever one of us was in there, highly pissed off that she wasn't allowed in too.

I'm cross with Asda. I've been to two or three of the big local ones and it's all been totally normal. No fights, no pyjamas, no T-rexes. Very disappointed.

showtunesgirl Tue 16-Oct-12 00:12:50

You should come to my local Asda then. It's WELL dodgy!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Tue 16-Oct-12 00:21:49

Fights in the aisles? Teenagers wandering round in dressing gowns and heavy makeup?

Every supermarket here has people in pjs! But then so does the school run, and not always the morning one, often the 3.15pm one! Classy place where I live!

empress that was why I loved online, but now me and dp are such saddos we know the rough price of everything we buy in aldi, and I'm that looser going round with a calculator. Dp says were sensible, I know we are saddos! Haha!

Fb selling pages are ace, I funded christmas using it last year, this year I've not has as bigger clear out this year but I've picked up some great bits, aswell as selling. Such as a change table for dc3 for £7 and the elc wooden fairy wonderland dd wanted for £7.50. They're more addictive than ebay!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Tue 16-Oct-12 00:38:59

We used to take a calculator too, State!

Not seen many people round here in pyjamas. Although there was a woman at the corner shop once wrapped in a duvet, come to think of it.

Facebook selling sounds fantastic.

<snuggles deeper> I'm off to sleep, night State. Night Show.

<Leaves behind huge basket of pastries and jams, a big hot breakfast buffet with juices and naice coffee>

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Tue 16-Oct-12 08:35:38

Morning, State! Thank you!

<starts breakfast>

ZombTEE Tue 16-Oct-12 10:15:10

Bless you state. I have been awake, basically, since 230. And I have my 6 miles to walk for the school run today. I've just finished half. Work? Who needs to work?

Well I slept from about 12.30 until 5am, then that was it I was awake every few minutes, had a hectic morning taking some bits back to a friend we'd stored for her and going for my whooping cough jab which I was late for thanks to dps sodding defiance. He's off out to a meeting now and I really want him to cancel I just can't face walking to school I want to curl up on the sofa in the warm! <Whinges>

ZombTEE Tue 16-Oct-12 14:24:11

State I had my 4 hours of sleep...then did my 6 mile school walk...

I was going to go shopping tomorrow. I think I'll drop LittleTee and come home and sleep! His childminder picks him up on Wednesdays.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Tue 16-Oct-12 14:31:25

Another bad sleep here, and no chance of a nap because of lovely if not a tad annoying because I set my heart on a snooze people who want to buy things.
The woman from last night gave up after a hour and is sending me a PO hmm .

Love FB selling pages! Loads of bargains and business!

Tee That sounds like a good plan! Sleep over shopping any day!

State Hope the school run isn't too bad for you.

<pulls in tray of pretty coffees>

I dragged myself down there on the self bribe of a milky way crispy roll at the shop, to find dp parked up outside, his meeting was cancelled, didn't think to ring then love? Both kids in bloody stupid moods and being ridiculously loud.

Is it bedtime yet?

Where are you all this evening?

Who watched GBBO?

<Wafts around the smell of cake and pastries in a feeble attempt at attracting someone into the puddle>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Tue 16-Oct-12 21:29:29

<follows smell>

Im here, trying to drum up business and listening to Tina Turner hmm . grin

How are you feeling State?

showtunesgirl Tue 16-Oct-12 21:32:47

I am scrubbing the entire flat. The landlord is coming round tomorrow. Eek!

I'm ok, still tired and hormonal but I'll get over it grin now have two arms which feel like I've been punched but its all for the greater good etc blah blah. Still want to itch them like a mad women!

My milky way crispy roll was amazing!

Ooh show never fun, enjoy! Were so lucky with our LL he pops over every now and again to sort small bits and he came once and I said I've not washed up or hoovered and there's laundry on the stairs, he said, "good your human, we'll talk in the front garden if it worrys you" he's a lovely guy, desperate to keep us though!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Tue 16-Oct-12 22:01:29

Luuuuurrrrve milky way crispy rolls!

Good luck show , at least you will have a nice clean and tidy house! grin

State Your LL sounds lovely!

Shaky Tue 16-Oct-12 22:05:16

Hiya, I've been working today!

I have my new glasses and no longer look a twat in my sunglasses! grin

I am now very skint and seriously thinking of buying some emergency contact lenses. I have also paid for insurance for these specs, vision express are really expensive and my frames are child size (has small head). At least I can see now, hurray!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Tue 16-Oct-12 22:07:27

I have child size glasses too. They are the only ones that don't fall off my head! grin

Hurrah shaky my Mum used vision express last time she needed glasses she's sure they are better quality, she got bogof though so it made the higher price a bit easier to swallow, ofc she instantly lost her favourite pair grin

I'd not seen milkyway crispy rolls for years, sure they didn't used to be 40p! But then I'm aghast that freddos are now 17p.

showtunesgirl Tue 16-Oct-12 22:17:25

Our landlord is fine. It's just that there are some things that need doing to the flat. Kind of his fault that it's not been done though as I told him ages ago and he didn't follow it up.

However, he DOES know that we are good tennants as the flat before the last place we stayed in, he was the LL to that too and we were there for five and half years. When this place came up, he was eager to have us back again.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Tue 16-Oct-12 22:17:55

No they were 26p!!!
Iceland do 6 for £1 90p if you get discount like I do .

showtunesgirl Tue 16-Oct-12 22:19:50

However, good news is that my dinner is almost ready. Late one due to house cleanage. Butter chicken and Karhai broccoli. Dear Madhur Jaffrey, I love you and your Curry Easy book. Amen. grin

bonkey I'm envy of your discount 90p for that many is too good to be true --and has anyone tried the frozen greggs sausage rolls, they're actually quite good blush--

Sounds fancy shaky we are stuck in a terrible rut with meals again, the dcs had hot lunches today so I just gave them sandwiches --and waited for them to go to sleep and have a naughty kebab--

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Tue 16-Oct-12 22:32:13

steak makes are rather tasty too grin

Shaky Tue 16-Oct-12 22:56:50

We are getting an iceland, it opens 7th nov, I am unashamedly excited, our only other options in our village are the coop (big but expensive) or the spar (small and expensive). Although we do have Asda, tesco etc about 5 miles away. Ds goes out to do shopping on a Saturday, armed with list (still gets it wrong). I'm seriously considering going back to doing online shopping but I always buy too much and underestimate how much room we have in the freezer. I end up throwing a lot of fresh stuff out cos I can't choose the dates on it and have already filled the freezer, so fresh stuff goes out of date quicker than we use it. I need to be more organised.

Shaky Tue 16-Oct-12 22:59:01

State if he's had a hot lunch I wouldn't worry at all. It's no different from giving a packed lunch then a hot tea x

Shaky Tue 16-Oct-12 23:02:35

I didn't have a steak bake in the car to celebrate my new found vision
I would never contemplate such a thing I would just do it

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Tue 16-Oct-12 23:35:43

Are there any pastries left? <hopeful>
<puts kettle on>
DD was given an hour's detention tonight for not doing her ICT homework.

Under normal circs, completely reasonable consequence. As it was, though, she had a good excuse - she was on a week-long residential last week, missed the lesson and since it was a school thing, it honestly hadn't occurred to her (or us) blush that she'd need to chase homework. Besides, she got back Friday evening and the work was due in today. Teacher didn't want to know and DD, who's grown up a lot lately, took the punishment quietly and saved the ranting for us later.

In the meantime I'm at home wondering WTF she is and why she's not answering her phone. Didn't find out the answer to either question until she was out. Some teachers ensure parents get texts about detentions. This bloke apparently doesn't.... Grrrr.

What's a milkyway crispy roll?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Wed 17-Oct-12 00:06:49

<finishes pastry and coffee>
<snuggles under duvet>
<falls asleep>

ZombTEE Wed 17-Oct-12 07:33:19

I was indeed watching GBBO and OMG so pleased about the winner!

And then I went to bed.

And slept, without waking...for eight entire hours! I feel so much better.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Wed 17-Oct-12 08:28:29

Wow, Tee. That's absolutely brilliant.
<puts kettle on>

Morning all, I am still in bed, I got up and washed, dressed and did dcs hair and lovely dp has taken them to school as I've barely slept two sore shoulders, one huge bump and now a twingey back.
I feel such a wimp the whooping cough jab I had is the one 3yos have! I vow ill dose mine up with calpol in future, its so tender! Poor little buggers!

That was my logic shaky I just feel bad doing it when its cold and wet etc but they do eat lots of salad on the side with sandwiches so its quite a hefty meal.

Icelands not to bad I don't get the grief it gets on here, its handy for lunch stuff, and good deals of crisps/biscuits treats for dc, ice lollies in the summer, yogurts/cheese etc. Some are good for fruit and veg, its hit and miss.

empress your poor dd, that teacher is completely unreasonable! As she was on a school trip I wouldn't have considered any homework she'd have missed, and we certainly didn't have to when we went away on residentials, and as for not letting you know where she was, is he a total moron!!! I don't blame her for having a rant, that is so unfair!

tee that's excellent, bet you feel fantastic today!
What are we going to do tuesday evenings now though??

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Wed 17-Oct-12 10:36:45

That's fantastic Tee!

Baby slept from 11pm til 4.30am last night. shock But for some reason I feel really tired and rubbish today. Think my cold is still lingering. Also, I think my name change has had an effect on him - he's gone from being Baby Dreamy, to Baby Screamy! He's good at night, but on no account am I allowed to put him down during the day. He screams until he's sweaty. I didn't know babies could sweat! But how else am I supposed to have a wee? The only chance I get to eat or shower is after the school run when he's fallen asleep in the pram, and even then he waits until I've just sat down with my food, or just started washing my hair, then wakes up and starts yelling. It's just a phase. It's just a phase. It's just a phase.

Your poor dd Empress. It was very restrained of her not to contest it with the teacher. Very unfair on her, and really bad that the school didn't let you know where she was.

Thank god GBBO has finished. I have tupperware full of flapjack, brownies and biscuits in my kitchen because that programme has made me hungry. I need to stop baking and concentrate on finishing eating it all. Anyone want to come round and help me? I've been sending stuff to Mil and school but I still have far too much!

I went to Iceland once when I was a student. Got so much stuff for a tenner, I was very impressed. I haven't been since, to be honest the adverts put me off.

Hope your arms feel better soon State. It's kind of interesting to know that you had the same injection the children have, and how painful it actually is. I think children are pretty tough really, and deal with stuff like that better than adults.

Very jealous of your sparkling clean house Showtunes. I hate housework. angry

So Shaky, how does the puddle look now you can see us all properly? Not a muddy puddle anymore!

screamy apparently its worse for adults as we have more muscle, I'm still having calpol ready for dd when she has the same jab next week! I do think they're tougher than most adults though, dd is forever knocking herself and usually blinks and runs off, whereas I am an epic whimp.

Dd was screamy baby, I tried a sling for a while but I made her worse when I had to put her down bouncy chair or swing where she could see me and I'd talk at her the whole time eventually helped, it is just a phase and this too shall pass!

showtunesgirl Wed 17-Oct-12 11:40:27

It is NOT sparkling. Still so much to do. [weeping emoticon]

I have until 4pm apparently. But I have just got back from aerobics and put DD down for a nap so shower first and then on with it!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 13:05:59

I have caved and ordered Fifty shades of grey stock blush blush shock !

In my defence it sells bloody amazingly so I am shamelessly jumping on the bandwagon! grin

Great news on the sleep tee and Screamy , I also had a half decent night. Yay!

Empress thats shit! I would have thought exactly the same. And they should have let you know! What if something had happened?!! Arses!

Showtunes scrub, scrub, scrub wink

State Hope you feel better soon. I hated this part of pg, I thank the lord that ds was early!

<waves to Shaky> Can you see me? grin

showtunesgirl Wed 17-Oct-12 13:08:58

Noooooooooooooo, why have you done this?!

If you want BDSM books then get The Story of O or the Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice or Exit to Eden also by Rice!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 13:10:59

Stock! Showtunes I make jewellery!
Pm you if youi want a nosey , I make nice stuff as well as the tack new stuff grin

and I have a rather good section on my kindle for erotic fiction wink

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Wed 17-Oct-12 13:22:47

Haha I thought 'stock' was a typo! So are you selling cable tie bracelets now? grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 13:30:00

grin Screamy

I hadn't thought about cable tie bracelets, hmmm.....must be a good profit margin on that! wink

I just got some 'Fifty inspired' charms, if they don't go they will all go on other things individually. I have had 3 requests for them since I started so what the hell! grin

bonkey I read 50 shades, its utter shite and very frustrating, 'my sex' anyone? <Screams> BUT I LOVED IT and didn't put the 3 books down. Its shit, but good shit grin

I know a few people who wanted 50 shades themed anklets with a little bell on, its all good for business hey bonk btw everytime I think I've decided what to order you post more beautiful things and I'm undecided again!

I am a VERY happy pregnant lady sainsburys has reeces peanut butter cups, pieces and nutterly for 29p each!

showtunesgirl Wed 17-Oct-12 14:09:40

Phew. Only good erotic fiction allowed her in The Puddle! wink

showtunesgirl Wed 17-Oct-12 14:09:49

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 15:57:33

I read it too, also had to read all three to see what happened...and your right, its shit but its addictive shit! grin

State I'm sorry . grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 16:12:26

Oh dear, i have a incredibly tired MiniBonkey sad

Roll on bedtime!

showtunesgirl Wed 17-Oct-12 17:07:04

Oh dear. How old is MiniBonkey?

LL has been and gone and was lovely. I don't know why I am always so scared of when he visits. confused

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 17:13:43

He's 4, just started school. This week is his first full week. So far he has had Weds off so we have had a midweek break.

He is curled up on the sofa with a blanket watching Rastamouse. I think he may be in bed by 6!

Visits and things like that always seem so much worse in your head than they actually are. Glad it went ok smile

showtunesgirl Wed 17-Oct-12 17:18:07

Rastamouse is wicked! AIBU to have now turned it on so that I can watch it? Oh and 11 month old DD is watching it too.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 17:19:33

YANBU grin

I freak out too shaky when ours visits when he wants to keep us as tenants way more than we want to keep this house --nightmare neighbours--.

Mine are the same bonkey since starting yr1 and nursery 6pm they crawl up stairs, usually arse around a bit but it wouldn't be them if they didn't, but they like a good 13/14hrs a night.

I'm officially at that pregnant and can't stop thinking of food stage ----hides huge dairy milk bubbly and giant bag of jelly tots- and craving chocolate like a mad women!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Wed 17-Oct-12 21:28:02

We've split up.

It's been brewing for some time but it was still pretty painful on both sides. I'm staying with a friend while I flat-hunt.

I'm going to look after DD three nights a week while XW's at work.

I'm a bit numb. I might not post much in here for a while.

As you were.

<disappears deep under pile of duvets>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Wed 17-Oct-12 21:40:27

Oh Empress sad
I hope your ok. Big snuggles!

We are here if you need us!

Oh empress lovely, we are all here if you want to talk, rant or cry. Thinking of you xxx <chucks empress the best comforter and pillows>

showtunesgirl Wed 17-Oct-12 23:13:33

Oh shit. Hugs Empress.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 18-Oct-12 02:38:12

Thank you thanks

ZombTEE Thu 18-Oct-12 06:04:50

Oh Empress I'm so sorry. {{{Empress}}}

::pours coffee and adds booze to Empress' cup::

Morning everyone.

<Leaves behind squares of rocky road>

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 18-Oct-12 11:46:48

Thank you all of you.

<takes some rocky road>

Fuck knows what's going on atm but I'm certain I'll want to talk at some point.

Take care empress and whenever you need anyone come snuggle in the puddle.

My whooping cough jab has killed my arm I believe, the pain in my shoulder is constant! Rang the drs to check and they said as adults have more muscle it can be quite painful, even walking hurts I have to kind of hold my arm!

Dps just been signed back off work the knee op he had has made things worse and he's in agony, his consultants encouraging him to leave entirely (self employed builder) as they think this is it now, they'll never resolve the issue! He's gutted he loves working and even when home suposedly resting he has little projects he tinkers with, whilst sitting down. His job really does define him. He's only 26 sad its all down to a hip wasting disease he had at 4yo, so now our dcs are being pulled in for tests as despite always being told it is Not genetic, there's been 2 reported cases.

We'll be ok, great LL who's chilled about HB etc and luckily the car we brought for imminent dc3 fitting in is cheap to run.

<Cake> anyone?

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Thu 18-Oct-12 13:14:06

I'm really sorry Empress. We're here to help you get through this. Come here to shout, cry, laugh - whatever you need to do. <hugs>

Your poor Dh State. :-( Is there any way he can stay in the trade but in a less physical role? A project co-ordinator type thing maybe?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 18-Oct-12 13:58:54

You lot are so lovely. I really, really appreciate it. Thank you.

On the way there now. We're going to talk when she gets back from work. It's not realistic for me to move out until finances are sorted and maybe by that time we'll have found a better way to live together. I don't know atm.

State, I'm so sorry. On top of everything else too. Would Screamy's suggestion work?

ZombTEE Thu 18-Oct-12 14:16:28

Well crap. My step-uncle has just been diagnosed with stage 4 leiomyosarcoma. It is a very rare form of soft tissue cancer.

Nothing really they can do at this point but make him comfortable. I haven't seen him in years since I live in Belfast, but I always liked him.

Stupid bastard disease...

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 18-Oct-12 14:26:08

That's shit Tee, I'm so sorry.

<wraps Tee in soft fleece>
< brings brew and some of State's rocky road>

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Thu 18-Oct-12 14:59:38

Awful news Tee. sad Stupid bastard disease indeed.

Oh tee <squeezes> I fecking hate cancer, I had a small hormonal rant about the bastard last night, it makes me irrationally angry. Hope he's as comfortable as he can be xxx

Unfortunatly the office side of building is something dp would struggle with, he is severely dyslexic and had no help or diagnosis until he was 17 at college so spent a long time being told he was lazy/thick and he has no confidence, i deal with all his paperwork/bills etc as he just can't do it, he actively avoids reading to the dcs if anyone else can hear, breaks my heart as he's exceptionally clever and can think his way around any problem and solve it. Also he's no formal qualifications except the vitals for site work, as school failed him so he works site to site through word of mouth after being taken on as a labourer years ago and being taught all kinds of things as he went along, his digger/forkilift tickets expired and now there's a written test alongside the practical test to renew them.
He'd quite happily do driving work as he loves driving but he needs to have had his license 4yrs for most jobs he's found , he's had its 3yrs 1mnth! So now we wait for the hospital referal and investigations/ops/trails of different pain killers and then he'll have to search for something new. <Looks for brightside> atleast he'll be around when dc3 is born, he's never had paternity leave before so that will be nice.

Also meant to say empress I hope which ever way things go they are best for you all best of luck lovely xxx

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 18-Oct-12 18:24:53

Thanks State xxxxxxx

Sounds like we all need the Puddle at the moment.

showtunesgirl Thu 18-Oct-12 18:34:09

Sorry to hear all the bad news folks. sad

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 18:43:27

{{{{BIG HUGS}}} to everyone!

Sorry to hear all the bad things sad

Heres a cheery smile!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 18-Oct-12 19:19:23

Thanks Show.

Bonkey grin

grin bonkey

Its what people will think that's worrying me, I know we'll get by me and dp are very frugal, and we have the debt relief order finalising soon which takes the strain off, and my big two have clothes put away in next sizes etc thanks to older cousins, baby stuff and christmas about done, its just the stigma of having dc3 when dp isn't working, on paper he's employed and signed off but I don't want the midwives health visitor etc thinking were those type of people, does this make sense. I'm kinda angry tbh, I was judged for age with ds, close age gap dd, this was meant to be the time I wasn't.

<Eats more peanut related chocolate things>

I'm going on the bus to my Mums tomorrow and staying over as she's having a Jamie at home party, I'm usually a home girl can't bear to be away from my bed, dp or dcs. But I cannot wait! 24hrs of just being me, not worrying about them 3 is heaven! My brothers now ft in reception so we have a whole day just me and Mum first time since my sister was born, she's 7! smile although I have to share a room with my sister again hmm

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Thu 18-Oct-12 19:59:23

Ooo what's a Jamie at home party State?

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Thu 18-Oct-12 20:06:26

Forgive me, I have skim read the thread as have not been on for a few days.

Empress am so, so sorry to read your news - I hope you are ok and I wish I had something useful to say, I don't, so have a massive {{{{{PuddleHug}}}}}} sad and know that you can come here and get some support/understanding maybe even advice when you are ready to speak about it.

Tee sorry to hear about your Uncle, really is a shitter of a disease.

State stop worrying about what other people think - they will only know about your situation if you tell them. I have learned to NOT SAY STUFF to people who don't matter or whose opinions I don't wish to know wink I know it is easier said than done though, believe me, I live my life worrying about what other people will think of me in my current situation.

I'm off again now, laptop is a bit hit and miss so only spending brief moments here and accessing FB through my phone mostly.

Take care everyone x [kiss is deserved so nerr] wink

Jamie olivers range of kitchen stuff, its pricey but bloody lovely and actually good quality --unlike pampered chef--! My mums friend is a rep and I could easily buy the whole catalogue, I'm only going to make cake/nibbles etc as bribery Mums buying me some christmas cookie cutters from it. The reps make Jamie recipes for the party to show off the stuff, so food and kitchen stuff my idea of a good night in. Plus I luff jamie oliver a bit.
I think you can see It online.

Thanks Brian I know your right smile x

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 20:24:16

State Fuck 'um all wink grin

<pushes in tray of comfort food>

The puddle has spoken grin

Sainsburys loves me, along with the reeces peanut butter cups/pieces and nutrageous being 29p, the peanut kitkat chunkys are two for 80p. I have one of each, I am very happy. <Offers round>

Also anyone know what to do with a HUGE and I mean can look me in the eye on hind legs, 9mo labrador retriever X puppy that loves my dp SO much he can't bear to not be physically touching him for a second, its hilarious but driving dp a leetle bit insane!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 20:49:03

Give him to me! Am bored! I could do with some entertainment!

It is weird that I have just lit and blown out a candle 4 times because I love the just blown out smell? hmm grin

ZombTEE Thu 18-Oct-12 20:59:51

::has a strop as she has never even seen a peanut butter kit kat::

Thanks everyone. It's really hard because his wife and my mom do not get along at all and so my mom, who is a 'let me come over and cook you a meal and clean your house and do your shopping' kind of person feels like she can't even offer because Aunt would kick off. He's my step-dad's brother but we are a very close family in general.

state joke 'em if they can't take a fuck. Who cares what those people think? grin

bonkey fab kitty!

In other news...I have just agreed to be the Local Editor for MN's Belfast...EEP! If you haven't checked out the new local, do so. It's still a bit buggy, but they are getting there and it's going to be fab!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 21:19:08

Fab news *Tee , i haven't had a look at the local pages yet. Barely ventured out of the puddle for ages. Will do soon!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 21:19:27

wow, bold overload there hmm

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Thu 18-Oct-12 21:25:24

That's great Tee! I haven't looked at the new local pages yet, last time I looked there was very little going on near me.

Good luck tee smile

I will delve into local pages once I move back to my much loved home town next year, I love my house but I will not be coming back to this town once I leave. I know of a few mners in my area, have met one, I get so anxious about it though as I worry in rl I am in actual fact a boring pleb grin

ouryve Thu 18-Oct-12 21:47:48

I was thinking that maybe puddles and cakes don't mix. Excuse me - this is the first time I've seen this topic.

We hide here, we just like to eat cake, and I make a few from time to time. It was just a quiet place to keep our chats going, were called the puddle after a typo in another thread smile

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 22:35:26

<drags in cake>

Shaky Thu 18-Oct-12 22:37:14

Wow! The puddle is looking even more inviting now I can see it properly!

I'm sorry to hear everyone's bad news sad

I actually need a puddle snuggle myself. I have been back in work for 2 weeks, reduced hours, phased return and working with someone. The reason I was off was a bad episode of depression and needing to go back on antidepressants.

I thought I was coping well but absolutely exhausted. Today my boss asked to see me and said that she doesn't think that I am well enough to be back at work. She has advised me to take more time off, go back to my gp and maybe change my medication. sad

I'm gutted, going back has been a big deal and very stressful and now I'm going to have to do it all again.

Although I will have more time to snuggle in the puddle.

<hides under duvet and cries quietly so not to disturb anyone>

<finds everyone else sobbing under the duvet and snuggles everyone>

This must be THE nicest place on MN thanks

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 22:40:17

Oh Shaky sad
How do you feel overall? IS it just her that doesn't think you are coping well enough to be back or do you feel it?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 22:42:01

More cute smiles smile

<Hands shaky the last peanut butter kitkat> some people just do not understand at all, only you know how you feel xX

This is the nicest place on mumsnet smile

Shaky Thu 18-Oct-12 23:10:40

Thank you Bonkey and State

Thanks for the kitkat.
I think I was trying to be too brave and get back to work ASAP, I think she is probably right and I have pushed myself too far too quickly. She was lovely and said that she was worried about me and didn't want me to make myself vulnerable to making a mistake (I'm a midwife), nobody wants a slightly bonkers midwife they all are a bit bonkers

I was very conscious about letting everyone else down, the other staff and my patients, so I tried to get back as soon as poss. I seems that it hasn't quite worked out. We have all worked together for years and my colleagues know me really well. That probably know I'm "not myself" better than me.

Apparently my workmates have all told her they are worried about me and I should have stayed off longer sad

Shaky Thu 18-Oct-12 23:13:04

I have NEVER been told that I need to be off sick by a boss before.

<ashamed, snuggles further under the duvet>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 23:18:17

At least the people you work with care enough to mention it.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Thu 18-Oct-12 23:19:46

Bloody hell posted too soon!!

....just take some time and forget about everyone else and concentrate on yourself!

We all need to do it every now and again !

Shaky Thu 18-Oct-12 23:34:01

I did say to everyone, "If you think I'm not well please tell me, I won't be offended"

She has taken me at my word and told me! I am not offended, I actually appreciate her honesty, it must have been a very difficult conversation to have.

How the hell do you tell someone you want them back in work and then 2 weeks later tell them to go back off sick! I wouldn't want her job at all.

I'm going to ask for a months sick note to totally take the pressure off, completely forget about work and get better.

However, I still worry about the women on my caseload an have never quite let go from it, I always want to know what's happening with my ladies. Maybe I am one of the small percentage who actually give TOO much of a shit!

Shaky come and be my midwife smile

Shaky Thu 18-Oct-12 23:45:01

I would love to be your midwife State

If you are ever worried about anything pm me, just remember I'm a bit bonkers at the mo!

I'm always worried, had 2 mcs and a mmc before this baby, and I'm generally a bit overactive with the imagination and make up things to stress over.
All the nice mws I've met have been a bit bonkers, the rest were mean, I've battled with depression in the past so I know where your coming from, its different for everyone though, I ended up leaving my job after a really bad patch, I was a home carer, my boss was vile and basically we weren't allowed to care, just get in do the vitals get out, it destroyed me, I still worry about my old clients over a year after leaving!

My mums dogs kicking up a fuss as we've gone to bed, better go see what's wrong with him. <Yawns>

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Thu 18-Oct-12 23:59:45

<Sets tray of mugs of hot chocolate, bottles of rum and whisky and jug of iced water, with glasses on table. Builds up fire>

This is definitely the nicest place on mumsnet. Shaky, your boss sounds lovely and very caring. I think the month off is exactly the right idea.

State, *Brian's absolutely right. Tee, I'm so sorry about your step-uncle.

Welcome to the Puddle, Ouryve. Come by the fire and have a drink.

So we talked. Properly talked for the first time in however long. And we cried, and we realised how long we'd been blocking each other off and how much we were both hurting.

And we think, we're not quite certain, but we think we're going to try again.

Shaky Fri 19-Oct-12 00:20:13

Oh Empress! That's fantastic, is that what you want?

I really hope that you can work things out.

I'm sorry about your job state, you sound like you would make a lovely nurse!

<gives big snuggles to everyone in the puddle>

I love the puddle, it's like a bed with fresh linen, ironed by someone else, with a cuppa and toast made from fresh white bread, lightly toasted, with lashings of real butter, served hot. Perfect!

Shaky Fri 19-Oct-12 00:22:12

State I meant to say sorry about your mcs too but posted too soon, sounds like you have had a rotten time x

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 00:45:07

<snuggles back>
Thanks Shaky.

Yes. She drives me nuts at times but I really miss her... Miss how we used to be. We're going to try to get that back.

Best of luck empress, me and dp have only been together 7yrs but both admit to the fact that if we didn't have such young dcs, and nowhere else to go both of us would have flounced many times, we've had some horrifically low patches but somehow worked it through, really hope you and your DW do too, I wish you every happiness.

Thanks shaky I do consider myself lucky, I have. 5yo son and almost 4yo daughter without any issues, well ds was early but he's fine now, now I'm out the other side those mcs were the right thing to happen, we weren't in the right place for a baby then, now we can finish our family at the right time and once dc3 arrives I can move on from the crappy bits inbetween and live my life.

Anyway <drags self out of bed> I have 2 school runs and a bus to catch.

<Leaves behind hot buttery toast, tea, coffee and juice>

ZombTEE Fri 19-Oct-12 08:20:04

Morning all.

::scarfs toast::

I have a ton of work to do today but I've just sent a Small and Tall Boy off and I'm enjoying an entire cup of coffee first!

Empress that's great that you both want to work it out. Good luck and lots of [empress] hugs!

shaky I've had depression for a very very long time. And anxiety disorder and borderline agoraphobia and and and...take the time you need to take care of yourself or you can't take care of anyone else. -- Tee's Words of Wisdom. Remember, they are worth what you paid for them. grin

I have another new client. Very small, but it gets my name and my work out there!!!!!!

Hence why I need to go get to work...

showtunesgirl Fri 19-Oct-12 09:03:03

Morning. I'm hungover. >tries to go back to bed but DD says no<

I'm on the bus, I don't mind it really, but it reminds why I quietly pay car insurance and road tax, I don't much like other people. Also I'm possibly a 3rd of the age of the rest of the bus and didn't I know I was on their bus as I got on, and how dare I and my sodding huge bump sit in the front seat, as its a single and I don't want to get weird stroky leg man as a seat companion again. <Sigh> you should have heard the tuts! 35mins to go....

Great news tee smile

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 09:56:31

Thanks, State and Tee. <<hugs back>>>

<pours Show a black coffee and offers banana>

Weird stroky leg man????

Yeah I used to get the bus to my mums once a week and every week this one bloke would sit near a girl on there own and stroke his leg, I got him one week, I now always get the single seat, I'm like sheldon off big bang theory, that's my spot.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 10:09:27

The single seat just behind the driver?
DD loves that one.

We got on a crowded bus the other day, few spare seats all had bags on them, I was about to claim one for her when she looked at woman and said "Please can I sit down?"
Woman huffed a bit but shifted her stuff. DD said "Thank you", winked at me and sat. She's a good kid.

How were the school runs?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 10:15:23

Empress Your dd sounds fab! smile
Good luck with everything, I hope it all works out for you!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 10:25:34

Thanks Bonkey <<<<<snuggles>>>>>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 10:29:06

I'm sneaking of too bed for a few hours before I have to deal with the Shitland Pony hmm.
If I don't then I fear i may fall asleep on the school run!

The luxuries of having a child in school! grin

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 10:34:39

Sounds luffly - glad your DH isn't off sick again!

You've got a Shitland Pony?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 12:11:54

Urgh, well that didn't go to plan. Got a hour before my phone woke me up twice with stupid idiots trying to sell me stuff angry . I gave up!

Yes Empress I have a shitland pony! grin

He looks like this ^ . smile

Disclaimer: Not my pony but looks similar mine has horns wink . Fb has some pics floating around .

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 12:14:08

sad Are you on TPS? Not that it helps....

I'll have a look on FB later.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 12:14:38

D'you know the more I look at that pic....that actually could be my pony shock !
If I hadn't had him since a baby then I would think hes been off posing for photo shoots and making some money hmm .

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 12:14:53

Whats TPS?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 12:17:28

Telephone Preference Service. If you sign up then companies in the UK aren't allowed to cold-call you, although it doesn't help with calls from abroad.

Maybe you should get him doing shoots! Blimey, Bonks, we're almost a third of the way through the thread already.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 12:19:12

Does that work on mobiles ?

I know, splashing our way through this one quickly!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 12:25:05

Yes, you can register mobile numbers on it too so should do!
brew? Sorry can't remember if you like hot drinks or prefer water like State.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 12:28:27

I might look into that when I have a few minutes. Drives me loopy sometimes, and they always bloody call when I am asleep!

I am a cold drink drinker Empress , anything will do ta!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 12:32:15

<pours freshly squeezed orange juice>

I found an app called Semisilent for my Android phone that, when switched on, will only ring if the call's from DW, DD or school. Bloody useful at times.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 12:37:21

Oh I have android!

Thats my problem, I need my phone on mainly if the school ring because of ds. Dh never uses his bloody mobile as i type its in the kitchen, hes working so I don't have to worry about him calling.

<sips juice>

ZombTEE Fri 19-Oct-12 12:39:02

Best thing about my iPhone is the Do Not Disturb setting. I tell it who to let through and everyone else can feck off!

Adorable pony!

I may have to go have a sleep rather than clean the house. Another 430 wake up for me...

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 12:40:43

This, Bonkey.

<hands Tee a coffee>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 12:44:04

I shall be getting that later!!!

tee Sleep everytime! smile

Right am off, fields here I come!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Fri 19-Oct-12 12:46:59

Give your shitland pony a stroke for me!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Fri 19-Oct-12 12:47:22

Oh just looked at the fb photos of your shetland Bonkey, he's gorgeous! He looks very sweet and well behaved, not at all like a normal shetland! I have to wait until our boys are at school until I can get a horse. sad No time at the moment. All my horsey friends have started having children now and I have no idea how they manage to muck out, ride, etc as well as look after a baby! I'll be riding in a month or so though, just on someone else's horse! Do you ride too?

showtunesgirl Fri 19-Oct-12 14:31:29

Hello all, hangover gone. Operating as normal. What's the goss?

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Fri 19-Oct-12 15:12:50

That's good Showtunes. Just in time for a friday drink hey? wink

My Dh is home! He went to LA on business on Sunday, and got home this morning, which meant he was away on our 7th wedding anniversary. sad He's now in bed, jet lagged. Fortunately the time has flown by for me, kept busy by the boys.

I went to the children's art group this morning, and a mum came to introduce herself because her little boy had pointed out my Ds saying he's his friend from school. I'm so pleased by this! Ds has speech problems, and I've asked him who he likes to play with but he has never told me. He always seems to prefer playing alone, and doesn't seem interested in other children. I'm very glad he has a friend! The mum said she'd watched them play together while I was feeding Ds2, and they were talking to each other and playing really nicely. She could also understand what he was saying, which most people can't. grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 15:49:55

Yes I ride too. Had to sell my 'proper horse' when i had ds. No time or money sad There is a pic of her in my mobile uploads on fb too. I haven't ridden for years properly, i have the odd romp on the shitland but i look ridiculous, and the bloody thing is suprisingly fast grin

He is very sweet but sometimes he's a shit! grin

great news about your ds! smile

I have somehow buggered up my foot on my travels today. Its pounding sad
Ds held my hand all the way home to 'help you walk mummy' smile Gotta love kids sometimes!

That's lovely screamy my ds sounds very much like yours, he had speech problems and seemed to be happier alone but after a few weeks in preschool another little boy always welcomed him and said goodbye at the end of the day and his Mum said he never stops talking about him. Its so reassuring. My ds said nothing, he said a few basic words at 1yo and suddenly stopped even saying those and was mute until 3 1/2, by 4yo he spoke a lot although not always clearly. Not at 5yo I'd like him to sssh some times, he talks at me non stop, making up for lost time!
I do think a lot of adults can't tune into children, I always understood ds, and my little brother who has speech problems, maybe its because I know them, but its lovely when people we don't know understand them too.

Very envy of all the ponies! My dd loves them, closest she's got is donkeys at a summer fete. Any tractor mad ds's? I'll trade you a day at my Grandads farm with proper tractor rides for a pony day for my dd grin

I'm totally shattered! I am enjoying a rare break from the after school chaos with the dcs though!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Fri 19-Oct-12 16:31:23

Oh Dh is tractor mad State. He'd love that! I don't have a pony though. sad

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Fri 19-Oct-12 16:31:46

Oops I meant Ds!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 16:40:57

I'll trade a pony day providing I can drive the tractor! grin

I've driven the tractor, wasn't allowed to even sit in it on the last visit due to up duffed ness.

His new one is HUGE, seriously the front wheels are my height (5"7) and slightly scary tbh.

screamy my dp loved it as much as the dcs did so I wouldn't have been suprised wink

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 21:46:35

<hobbles in>

<plonks self down>

<tucks cushion under foot>

<pops ice pack on>

<pulls out stash of munch>

Yes i may be hinting for sympathy, dh is bloody useless

Shaky Fri 19-Oct-12 21:59:13

My ds would LOVE a tractor ride!

AND a shitland pony

He has been very quick getting dressed and ready in the mornings this week with the promise that he can watch the builders while he eats his breakfast. Getting out of the house has been a different story! "I'm not going to nursery mummy, I want to help the builders"

I went to see the doctor today and I've got a 4 week sick note and I've got to double my dose of medication. Lets hope it helps.

I hope everyone else is feeling better.

<puddle snuggles for everyone>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 22:49:08

I hope it helps you shaky smile

Make sure you take as much time as you need x

Shaky Fri 19-Oct-12 23:13:18

Thanks bonkey

How's the foot feeling?

<hands paracetamol and bag of frozen peas>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Fri 19-Oct-12 23:22:32

Its aching sad

I think its getting worse because I'm sat on my arse and not using it sad

And do you know...I didn't think of taking any painkillers! <duh>

God knows what Iv'e done though, I had a massive bruise on my arm a few days ago which I don't know how I got hmm .

Dh is laughing.....I'm leaving the bastard! wink

<Helps bonkey pack his bags> wink

I'm shattered but can't sleep, despite him driving me insane I miss dp, I never spend time away from him over night. I know when he arrives tomorrow he'll be his usual self and ill get annoyed with him and think he's a knob again. But I do love him <hormonal>

Hope your foots ok bonkey

Glad you have some time off sorted shaky look after yourself xxx

ZombTEE Sat 20-Oct-12 15:16:03

Good Saturday afternoon all.

Not sure what I've been doing today exactly but the laundry is at least folded and just waiting for my husband to carry it up the stairs so I can put it away.

Also, toys seem to have been picked up. shock

Maybe the house won't be a tip when my mom comes in 2 weeks!

bonkey how's the foot?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sat 20-Oct-12 15:25:06

<Puts giant chocolate cake on table>
<sits everyone down in comfy armchairs, wraps them up snugly in fleeces, gives Bonkey a footstool and hands pieces round>

Life is back to normal. DD's lost her 3rd doorkey and has confessed to spending most of her lunch money on sweets. DW and I are doing lots and lots of talking.

DD and I arrived at hairdresser at 12.30, she got washed about 12.45 and they started retwisting her locks about 2. I'm drinking coffee and MNing. Nice to have an excuse!

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sat 20-Oct-12 15:42:28

<plonks face in chocolate cake>

Bonkey - are you taking paracetamol and ibruprofen? (alternating) you need the latter to help with any inflammation. Also alternate a hot and cold compress on your ankle, also to help with inflammation. Make sure your foot is raised higher than your hip too. Is it swollen? Can you weight-bear? If not and it's no better tomorrow, get down to A&E.

Empress when I was 14/15 (is that a similar age to your DD?) I am ashamed to say that my bus/lunch money was being spent on cigarettes blush mum never knew, she had no reason to doubt me.

Glad to hear you are doing lots of talking, I really hope you and DW can work things out.

Tee hope over the sea and do some for me please - I have a load to go in the dryer, a load to go in the washer and a load to be folded. Oh and the ironing too.

In my defense, I have mowed the front lawn and weeded for the first time since August (it wasn't hideous but it was a lot scruffier than I would normally allow!) It half killed me.

My asthma is playing up, have had a cold and as per normal it has gone to my chest. I am being a wimp and not going to the Dr because I got told off for not taking proper care of my asthma last time I was there (I have it very mild but am prone to chest infections through winter). I had been very good with my preventative inhaler, taking it every day - but due to nausea I stopped for a couple of weeks and that was when the cold hit. I am taking it again now, but I worry that I will get bollocked for not using it for 2 weeks (I couldn't, it was at a point where swallowing was making me heave - let alone a gassy squirt of steroid!)

So, I have been online for about 2 hours now and I need to move. Possibly to make a coffee and then return to my seat and carry on MNing grin

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sat 20-Oct-12 15:43:17

*hop over the sea (or send hope, either will do)

ZombTEE Sat 20-Oct-12 15:55:12

Well, don't worry about ironing, waste of time.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 20-Oct-12 18:14:14

Hello, foots ok - ish. Still hobbling but not really painful anymore. Have dosed up on ibuprofen so maybe thats helping! No idea what Iv'e done, no swelling, no bruise....weird!

Sofa. pizza, cheesy sat night tv and a pack of peas for me tonight!

Brian Hope you feel better too, and stick to fingers up to the docs if you need too wink . And if you fold vair nicely when you get clothes out the dryer (while they are still warm) then there is no need to iron! grin

Another one here who spent lunch money on fags blush .

I managed to lose a Guinea pig again in the kitchen today, not the easiest thing trying to dig him out from behind the fridge it was easier to get him from behind the washing machine and that took a hour and three people . hmm

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 20-Oct-12 19:38:55

"Well, don't worry about ironing, waste of time."

^ This.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 20-Oct-12 19:50:08

Rest up Bonkey. Don't be chasing guinea pigs around like a crazy lady, that won't help your foot! We looked after a friend's chinese hamster once. It was tiny and managed to escape by squeezing between the bars of its cage. It lived in our piano for a few days before we could catch it. We had to keep the cage in the bath until our friend came back!

Hope you feel better soon Brian. Go to the doctors and lie if you have to!

Shaky, your boss sounds lovely. I hope doubling your dose helps, and having the 4 weeks off takes the pressure off.

Empress, are you home from the hairdressers yet? How many cups of coffee do you get through while your dd gets her hair done? wink

showtunesgirl Sat 20-Oct-12 20:07:41

Popping in to say hi. Very overtired, messed up napping 11 month old DD in bed. Hope she'll do what she did the last three nights which was 8-7.

Anyone got any good choc snacks about?

Evening all,

I'm back home now back to being Mum, I did enjoy my break but I do love my house, because its mine, and I did miss the dcs and dp

Was quite amusing, trying to leave my Mums tonight and her dopey dog deciding he lives with us now and making multiple attempts to slip out the door amongst us. He sat on the doorstop whinging as we loaded the dcs in. Went for a walk up the woods and took the dcs and my brother and sister to a small farm, dd has the class camera so I'm under pressure to be uber parent for the teachers to disect her photos monday.

I'm all out of peanut butter related chocolate, and so is sainsburys <wails> but dp is off to buy me chocolate of some kind --and super noodles because I NEED them--

showtunesgirl Sat 20-Oct-12 20:58:40

Forget Super Noodles. If you can get a hold of Nissin Damae Ramen they are the dog's bollocks!

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sat 20-Oct-12 20:59:37

State - our Co-op has Reese's peanut butter cup thingies.....have a mooch, they may be your new dealer go-to shop wink

I would lie to my GP but my fear is he will think 'oo eck, X dose of inhaler isn't working so we best up it' when really it could be working, I just haven't taken it properly. I will go on Monday I think, I am getting breathless at the slightest exercise.

I have my first ante-natal appointment with my consultant on Tuesday, big questions to ask after my discovery this week thread here and the chance that I may be able to go for a natural birth, having lived my adult life thinking this wasn't possible! (only one response on thread but actually got a lot of help IRL so have talked it through and happier now)

So yeah.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 20-Oct-12 21:17:57

Brian's commission grin

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 20-Oct-12 21:31:37

State, I have just amended my online shop and ordered Reece's peanut butter cups because of you! I've never tried them before, so I think it's time I did. grin

Brian, that's interesting! I hope they say you can go for it. And yes, I see what you mean about the inhaler. Best tell the truth, but ignore him if he tries to bollock you!

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sat 20-Oct-12 21:33:21

<inhales chocolate>

fanks [burp]

Screamy I must be one of the few women in the world to be going against the non-pain (well initially) choice of a c-section and actually want to do the (lots of pain) natural labour thing <freak> grin

screamy you also need reeces pieces and a nutrageous bar grin

No co-ops anywhere near me brian <weeps>

Dp got my dairy milk bubbly, it will do.

I get where your coming from brian for various reasons ds and dd were elcs' and I've never even had a contraction, dc3 is elcs, I could fight for vbac but the fear of unknown and having 2 scars already would mean I had to lie down and be monitored constantly so I've agreed with my consultants gentle urges to agree to elcs, but I really feel I'm missing out and not a proper mum.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 20-Oct-12 21:53:21

See, if you're inhaling chocolate, then your inhaler doesn't sound like it's working, and you really do need to talk to the GP...

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sat 20-Oct-12 21:54:18

doh blush

so that's where I've been going wrong!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 20-Oct-12 21:57:11

State, don't! I really shouldn't amend my shop again! And I shouldn't be eating so much chocolate either. I went for a run today. shock First one since the day after I found out I was pregnant. Actually that reminds me, I do need to amend my shop once more. <adds tena lady to the order> blush

ZombTEE Sat 20-Oct-12 22:00:08

State contractions do not make you a proper mum, having a baby does,

I've had a contraction and never will. I'm a proper mum.

ZombTEE Sat 20-Oct-12 22:00:31

Oops, I've never had...

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sat 20-Oct-12 22:04:13

I've had enough contractions for all of you, so don't worry! You aint missing much. grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 20-Oct-12 22:05:12

I also had my share of contractions, every 3 mins for 4 hours, with paracetamol as a painkiller...not fun!

What Screamy said ! grin

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sat 20-Oct-12 22:06:14

I know, I'm being daft but I would like to know what it's like, I can't explain it.

I don't feel any less of a mum for not giving birth naturally, I just think if I am able to I would like to do it naturally.

If not, I have no problem at all with another c-section, I have a very positive experience from last time - it was perfect, serene and generally lovely.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sat 20-Oct-12 22:08:51

I get you brian smile

My elcs with dd was so calm and serene it was almost unsettling. We got back to CDS and me and dp were almost in shock as we were just left to get to know her. Whereas when pfb ds arrived it was chaos, mws and peadiatricians everywhere as I was poorly as was ds.

I'm happy to have another elcs I am, I just wonder sometimes.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Sun 21-Oct-12 00:28:12

What Tee said. I've never had a contraction either and I'm a proper mum too! We're ALL great mums.

We were in there 4.5 hours State, think that's a record. I was buzzing when we finally came out. DD looks terrific though.

She's 12 by the way and the thread about the horrors of the 12 year old boy's bedroom could sooooo easily be about her. Thoroughly disapproves of fags and booze at the moment - or claims to - but I know we've got all those joys to come!

showtunesgirl Sun 21-Oct-12 00:48:19

Don't be too sure Empress, you might get lucky. I like the odd tipple but have never ever smoked.

showtunesgirl Sun 21-Oct-12 00:51:42

And contractions are shit so Brian you're not missing much.

I had to go through the whole thing for almost a whole day and ended up having a really sucky EMCS.

DD is 11 months now and I think I've only just about to come to terms with the whole shitty ordeal that was her birth and the aftermath. sad

That may well last empress I was very anti smoking and drinking at 11/12, I stuck to it, I did have maybe one or two drinks at around 16 but its never interested me. I drank at my 18th Birthday party, and then didn't again until I was 21, then not again until last christmas, and haven't since. Have never and will never smoked. I did have ds at 18, but since me and dp stuck together and have raised our family together my Mum now says she's glad I did.

Anyway, what's everyones plans for today, I think we may go to the big american pumpkin patch, off to see some friends and if all else fails soft play!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sun 21-Oct-12 11:11:48

Wow, a pumpkin patch?! I just asked Dh how far it is to where your from, cos I want to go - apparently it's very far! sad

I'm meeting an old friend from school today, then going into town to return a mountain of clothes to Next. I ordered about 10 tops to see if any were suitable for breastfeeding - 1 is, and the rest are going back.

My knees and hips are aching today from my run. sad

I was a very good girl until I was about 16, then I was very, very bad for about 6 years. I'm good now though. smile

Might be worth just googling pumpkin patches screamy the one we go to has been around for years and years and we only found it last year as ds' friends Mum is american, they don't really advertise it but it has website.

That's the one side of bfing I am not looking forward too, I dress totally differently to when dd was a baby and have a feeling I've made things awkward for myself, ho hum, hope you find some that are suitable soon, and the aching stops, I don't do running, I have enough trouble keeping up right when walking!

My mum said I was 'bad' for less than a year, I met dp the week I turned 17 and she said we were/are the most boring teenage couple she ever met, um cheers Mum.

Anyway, best sign off I get nagged for Mning in the car, and if last years journeys anything to go by we will get lost!

ZombTEE Sun 21-Oct-12 13:41:50

Afternoon all.

Had a lovely nap this morning after breakfast and now slowly doing things around the house while my boys sleep. Yes, one of those 'boys' is my husband. grin We're a very nappy family on the weekends.

I haven't been to a pumpkin patch in 9 years! Enjoy it State!

LittleTee wants to be a Pirate for Hallowe'en. I should probably do something about that soon...

Have a nice Sunday all!

It was so muddy! I was just waiting to go flying and land in a heap. Both dcs new winter boots now look awful and I had there wellies in the boot of the car <palm face>

We have some brilliant pumpkins though! Well squashes, we have two traditional ones and a green stripey one, a yellow one, a flat one, they're going to look interesting!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 21-Oct-12 18:20:36

envy of your pumpkins State .

I have just got back from the shittest kids party in history.

The boy is a new friend since school. They get on well but said boy is very hit happy hmm . very clingy too so when ds wanted to run off and play with someone else, boy followed and pulled him back hmm.

Cake tasted like feet. Pass the parcel was a epic fail (and seriously how can you fail to do pass the parcel) . Food was crap.

I am even more shock at this party than I would be normally because the mum has been bragging about her 'amazing' party last year and she seems very competive so I was expecting a fab couple of reality, my Gpigs could hold a better flipping party! <breathes>

<lays out nice buffet>

Ah bonkey we've ended up at a party like that, except NO games! Only entertainment was the birthday childs new toys, which weren't allowed out of the boxes!
I used to put loads of effort into hiring a hall and theming a whole party, this year its soft play, we have a new one nearby that does amazing food so I don't mind paying for a party there and all I do is make a cake and show up.

The dcs are a bit obsessed with the pumpkins, I may end up hiding them until next week when we carve them. They both want to name them grin they had pony rides, archery, maize maze, huge tent of craft stalls a bbq and pumpkin pie, candy corn and doughnuts, lovely autumn afternoon, despite all the MUD! I am rather chuffed with my new facebook cover pic <saddo>

Next year maybe I need to hold a mumsnet meet up there!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 21-Oct-12 19:44:18

Sounds like a fab day, and your cover photo is amazing! smile

I normally go down the soft play route. I think it probably works out cheaper in the end than diy parties. Plus NO clearing up, and NO bored kids!

Ds's party last year was fab!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Sun 21-Oct-12 20:50:26

Sounds like a great day State, and the photos are gorgeous! I googled but there's nothing like that near us unfortunately. sad

Soft play party fan here too, or at least somewhere that does everything for you and entertains the children. smile

Sounds like a fun Sunday was had by all!

We went to do a Scarecrow trail. Me, DD, my best friends and their boys (3 yo and 5 months), DD's godparents (parents of my bf), their other son and granddaughter (2 yo). Should have researched - the trail started in Northwich and ended in Tarporley - would have been a 5 hour round trip walking.......we imagined a gentle stroll of 2 miles max!!

So, we stayed at the craft centre, had a picnic and the kids played on the park and then we had a mooch around the shops and bought lots of sweets and that took up 3 hours!

Invited back to best friend's house and they made us (well male BF made us) a lovely chicken pasta dish...was delish!

Am exhausted, and aching - I would like my energy back, am not used to being such a lightweight grin

Bed calls - I may dream of pumpkins, I do love to carve 'em and love pumpkin soup even more smile

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains Sun 21-Oct-12 21:10:06

Here's my pumpkin from last year - I am a big kid at heart grin

Wow brian, that's ace!

I did a mickey mouse one for ds when he was 2, last year a cat, this year were going for a gang of ghouls as requested by ds.
Like the sound of a scarecrow trail but 5 hours walking... I was ready for my sofa after an hour at the pumpkin patch! Pregnancy properly drains me of energy.

screamy obviously the only answer to this problem is you have a year to move so you can go to our patch next year grin

Dd is so excited about her birthday, its all I hear about, its a month today until she is 4, I can't quite believe it tbh! She has been planning it since ds' in July, every day she tells me, " for my birthday mummy, for my party can I have it at big climbing please, I've been good" --she hasn't she's a little bugger-- big climbing is what she calls soft play, and then I get the list of food she'd like and another cake idea. I love how excited she gets but its kind of exhausting every single day.

I've also realised today I'm now in single figures in the count down to my due date, 8 weeks 5 days to go, but elcs will be sooner than that <panics>

NormaStanleyFletcher Sun 21-Oct-12 21:26:41
Shaky Sun 21-Oct-12 22:08:34

Ooooh! state your pumpkins sound ace! Can we have my 40th birthday party in here, my birthday is Halloween. We could do trick or treat and bobbing for apples, fancy dress and everything!

I'll come as a witch!

<hands out invites to everyone in the puddle to *shaky's Halloween 40th birthday party*> to everyone in the puddle

Back to the labour/section bit, I had a shite time. 24 hrs on labour ward contacting every 2 mins (relented and had epidural after 12 hrs) emergency CS after 2 hrs pushing, baby in back to back position AND twat of a dr gave me a vaginal tear examining me so I had stitches both ends!

Definately ELCS next time (if my ovaries haven't shrivelled up by then)

I'll post a pic of our pumpkins tomorrow when I visit my Mum --to steal her internet and use her laptop-- only have my phone when at home which is a touch annoying.

Ooh ooh <eagerly fills in rsvp and hands slip back to shaky> dp has what he thinks is a genius halloween costume for me, a tshirt with dolls limbs stuck to it, fake blood etc, so it looks like the babys attempting to escape. I was personally thinking pumpkin, as I'm that shape grin

Reading your storys I am grateful for the elcs I think, I do occasionally feel I've missed out but the virgo in me loves the organisation and routine of it, I think labour would scare me, plus I'm a huge wimp I'm already dreading the canular going in, and the epidural. I said to dp tonight does it not scare you that in a maximum of 8 weeks we will be home with a new baby, his reply, no why, should it? I'm swinging between it does, and it doesn't. I'll feel much better when I've got the final bits I need I think.

<Looks up naice halloween themed cakes for shakys 40th>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 21-Oct-12 23:14:04

State you ahve just reminded me of something! grin

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 21-Oct-12 23:15:55

Like this??

Yes, I believe something exactly like that was what he imagined!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 21-Oct-12 23:26:06

Our pumpkin from last year, ds was batman mad at the time.It was my first ever pumpkin!! <proud>

This year he is into Mario.

<wonders how the hell I'm going to pull that off>

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks Sun 21-Oct-12 23:28:49

Ooo halloween/birthday partay!

Count me in!

Although I may already be abit merry by the time i get here. I am planning on being a terrible mother having a sneaky drink whilst taking ds out trick or treating.

Shaky Mon 22-Oct-12 00:16:32

Yay, I'm so excited, thanks for the RSVPs!

<goes hunting for broomstick>

Shaky Mon 22-Oct-12 00:20:06

Even though it is my birthday on Halloween, I have never been trick or treating in my life! How deprived am I? If I had a wish to be totally flamed it would start a thread in AIBU, but I don't, so I'll stay here and have lovely snuggles instead smile

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 01:02:41

Must go to a pumpkin patch envy

Are you having your birthday party in the Puddle, Shaky? I'm in!

giraffesCantGoGuisingAsZebras Mon 22-Oct-12 01:04:31

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 01:18:30

Hello Giraffes, come in & have a wine. That chair by the fire's comfy and there should be some chocolate cake left if it hasn't all been scoffed.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 01:19:10

Sorry about the mess. We're getting Bonkey's hamster in tomorrow to eat up the cake crumbs.

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream Mon 22-Oct-12 01:37:36

Ahem there was cake?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 01:41:01

<cuts piece for threadlord>

How are you, Fanjo?

giraffesCantGoGuisingAsZebras Mon 22-Oct-12 01:42:34

we are going to bake some bread tomorrow. well later today!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 01:45:05

That's one of the things I've always meant to get round to doing.Warm fresh-baked bread must be gorgeous.

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream Mon 22-Oct-12 01:50:49

I am well thank you. Just recovered from a hangover. It was a delayed one that didn't kick in til late afternoon

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 01:55:11

Nasty. Don't think I've ever had one of those - mine always used to let me get to sleep then wake me about 3 hours later.

<builds up fire> <wraps up in fleeces, carefully avoiding Puddlehumpers snoring on floor>
I'm going to sleep now but you're welcome to stay & enjoy the cake. Help yourself to bedding and feel free to ask any of the lot from your late night thread over, plenty of room.

Giraffes, you're very welcome too, I'm so sorry about your aunt.

ZombTEE Mon 22-Oct-12 06:12:36

::waves coffee cup around vaguely::

giraffesCantGoGuisingAsZebras Mon 22-Oct-12 06:36:27

empress a MNer friend - I know her rl name but not her MN name - gave me a good recipe for no knead bread! It is really simple! Want the recipe?

Shaky Mon 22-Oct-12 09:11:25

Morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee Tee

<hands out Halloween party invites to everyone>

That cake looks gorgeous, is there any left?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 09:37:24

That would be great, Giraffes, thanks. Morning. Yes Shaky, help yourself.

showtunesgirl Mon 22-Oct-12 09:47:22

Morning. Is it too early for a brandy. I just dropped DD off at the childminder's for the first time. sad

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 10:59:18

Here you go, Show, and help yourself to cake. Let us know how he gets on.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 11:28:37

Dear Shaky

Thank you very much for the invitation to your Birthday/Halloween party. I will be there!

Best regards,

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 11:33:33

Aw Show. <Hugs>

Hi Giraffes. Hope you're going to waft some fresh bread smell around in here, its getting a bit foisty with all these mouldy cake crumbs lying around.

<Spots the ThreadLord and hastily gets the dust buster out> We're looking after the place SP, honest!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 11:45:55

Sorry giraffes, just saw your post on Tee's rules thread. I won't capitalise your g ever again! grin

showtunesgirl Mon 22-Oct-12 11:52:23

I have her back and she's promptly gone to sleep. Ha!

All went well, she didn't look for me but tomorrow is the real test as she'll be there 9-1. Today it was only 9-11 but then you never know with babies do you?

She's not a clingy baby anyway so she just got on with it!

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 11:56:03

Sounds like she enjoyed herself, so hopefully she'll be fine tomorrow. You're right, you just never know how they'll react sometimes!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 12:00:54

That's great, Show grin

When DD went to nursery, she only used to cry when she had to leave....

Right, let's do some tidying up.
<bundles up bedding and takes for washing>
<opens windows to get some air in>
<pops over to Good Housekeeping to borrow hoover>

showtunesgirl Mon 22-Oct-12 12:02:49

I hear you Empress, laundry is currently being folded, hung up and dishwasher being unstacked whilst I get DD's lunch on.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 12:04:38

Great grin
OK Screamy, Show's doing the laundry, I'm hoovering so you can clean. <hands over spray Dettol and cloth>

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 12:07:46

<relinquishes dustbuster>

showtunesgirl Mon 22-Oct-12 12:11:56

Dammit. Downing tools. DD is up!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 12:14:18

Sorry Screamy blush I forgot you'd got the dustbuster. I'll clean.

Although I did nab a super-powered Miele vacuum from housekeeping if you want to use it?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 12:14:46

OK [Show], no problem, thanks for getting the laundry on.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 12:17:15

Show, hand your dd the mop.

Oo super powered Miele sounds fun, better keep outta my way or I'll vac you all up!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 12:32:20

<sprays Dettol liberally>
<dodges Miele>

showtunesgirl Mon 22-Oct-12 12:43:39
ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 12:45:39

Perfect! Get to it, little-show. <Cracks whip>

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams Mon 22-Oct-12 12:57:40

Looking better already!

<Drags in crumb sucking Labrador> this is Milo everyone, ill release him for 5minutes, lift anything you don't want chewed a minimum of 6ft into the air. He's an excellent hoover.

My morning didn't exactly go to plan, DM wasn't very well so I couldn't go and use her laptop so I can't share my pumpkins <sulks>
I decided to spoil myself and try heinz tomatoe soup, feeling exhausted and pathetic so thought some comfort food would help, soup and nice tiger loaf bread has certainly improved my day.

<Catches labrador, surveys floor, not bad, not bad>

I'm off to make friends with the sofa and a blanket I think.

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 13:23:31

Erm, State… Didn't we use to have cushions in here? And why does Milo have feathers sticking out of his mouth?

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo Mon 22-Oct-12 13:24:37
