caramel question

I am making a giant creme egg and a giant cadburys caramel type egg for my nephews.

I have found out how to do the creme egg. So I am ok with that.

My question is do you think the ccarnation caramel in a tin would be ok or should I make it from scratch? I don't want to make too much work for myself.

I would use it straight from the tin personally, I used it in a trifle and it was delicious.
