Put cake in 20 degrees too hot

Misread recipe. Put it in at 180 instead of 160. Notices after about 10 mins and turned it down. Will it be buggered? It's a death by choc cake for cd school staff room tomorrow

It should be fine, you might need to reduce the cooking time a bit.

I took it out ten mins early and over compensated hmm

It sank in the middle and on cutting into layers was still wet in the centre. I used a cookie cutter to cut out wet piece and made a 4 layer ring cake but no way good enough to take to school. Have another cake in but have ran out of chocolate. I shouldn't have bloody bothered

Fishare... It may not be good enough to take in to school, but it will certainly be good enough to heat up in the microwave to have with custard!
