You can use orange juice instead of alcohol in it if you prefer. My only extra tips, would be to make sure you put brown paper around the outside to prevent burning and check it before she says, because modern ovens cook more quickly than when she wrote it.

We were never a Christmas Cake family but I like the idea of making one each year. I love really moist Christmas cake but not too alcoholic tasting. If anyone has an easy, failproof recipe I would be very grateful
