If you were baking more than 2 layers of cake

would you mix up enough batter for all the layers at once, or mix it up one layer at a time?

I'm doing 3 square layers but I only have one square pan so was wondering what the best way to do this was!

One layer at a time if you only have one pan - the raising agents will start working so your third batch would be flatter.
