My 11 year daughter has just started a new school. She is really shy and is finding it hard to make friends. She said she tries to join in on the the group but her confidence has been knocked by a couple of things. Last Friday it was one of the girls birthday. She brought in a cake and she told all the girls except my daughter. At break they all shared the cake in the playground, but didn't tell my daughter. She spend break time alone looking for them. The teachers found out and the girls said they thought daughter knew about it and didn't want any. Later that day she accidentally knock paint on someone work and they a couple of them group together and told her she did it one purpose. Any advice on how I can help her?

Go in and speak to her teacher.
They might be able to buddy her up with someone, who actually might be nice to your daughter.

Re the cake I would complain to the teacher about that too, surely it should be shared with the whole class? That's what my DC's school does.
