my ds was exactly the same ... try putting ice cubes into a thin muslin and let her suck the ice cubes through the material. It gets her used to the water, helps cool her gums if she is teething and generally helps to cool her down!
Thanks for the advice.

She is the one cutting out the feed - she used to go every three hours but now she can go upto 5 if she has some food as well.

I have managed to get a couple of spoonfuls of water into her this evening, so will try again tomorrow
ooh yes, good plan. We had similar problem this time last year dd had less milk [too hot for breast feeding close I think?] I made all her 'solids' very liquidy ad offered drinks constantly.

Maybe keep an eye out for deydration [look for symptoms in tinternet] but don;'t let it worry you.

Are you sutting out milk feed or is your daughter?
Im having a real nightmare!

DD is 9 months and has been on Formula for about 3 months. She has taken to it really well but in the last couple of weeks is eating more food and is now trying to cut out one of her milk feeds, but I cannot get her to drink anything else, water or juice (I have tried cups and bottles). Im worried because the weather is so hot.

Anyone have any advice about how to get more fluids into her? I have even started mixing a bit of water into her food to try and do it that way.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
