Ok so my last thread on ideas for getting my little man to take more of his bottles in the day didn't shed much light on the problem so thought I'd try another approach!
Ds 2 has been breastfed till about 1 month ago when I started to introduce bottles. He protested at first, then accepted them, but then has gradually been drinking less and less of them, and it is becoming a struggle to get him to take even a couple of ounces. the only one he drinks well is a dreamfeed at 10pm
I gradually phased out BF, and he now hasn'r Bf in about 2 weeks. I give him lots of cuddles etc... in the day, and wear him often in a sling, and I know it is a hard transition for him. But I am concernd at how little milk he takes in the day. He does eat 3 good meals a day and will drink water from a non valve cup at meal times ( wont have milk from cup though - have tried!)I do feel that he sleeps better at night when I manage to pursuade him to drink more in the day
So how much formula should he have? Should I just stop worrying about how much he has? Maybe the waking is more a sleep issue than real hunger? if you have switched an older baby from BF to formula which formula did you use? Thinking I may need to try a few diff formulas maybe.... Any ideas?
