Baby started solids - I'm engorged!

ds (7 months) started solids a couple of weeks ago. he is a big boy (21lbs) and has always fed loads and loads. now, he is feeding a lot less already as he is eating a fair bit of food. my boobs are sooo full and heavy. do I express or will they magically adjust to less demand? will I get mastitis if I am feeling engorged? Feel exc bfing has whizzed by - sniff sniff.

You could express a little off if it's too uncomfortable but your body should adjust to the need for less. I remember it took a while when I stopped feeding my dd though.

have so enjoyed feeding him. not stopping yet (so long as he wants to keep going) but it feels like a huge milestone.
