Infant feeding

If/when you give up breastfeeding after 18 months or so, do you boobs still get smaller?

I can't remember what size they used to be, but wonder if they will go down a bit when I stop breast feeding? They never feel full and am only feeding a couple of times a day. Asking for reasons of vanity, I'm doing a wardrobe chuck out and wondering if it's worth hanging onto some tops that are a bit tight

mine got smaller
then they plumped up a bit when I put more weight on, after a few months

Will be watching this thread with interest. Mine deflated ever so slightly when I stopped but picked right back up again as I was already pregnant. So sick of having giant tits, they look ridiculous.

On me, that is. I'm sure everyone else with big breasts looks fabulous.

Mine went back to the same teeny proportions after feeding for 12, 14 and 20 months with my three babies

I was a B cup before pregnancy, went up to a DD when my milk came in, stayed around a DD / D while feeding (for 21 months) and have now gone back to a C cup. So yes, they got smaller, but not as small as before

My friend (built the same as me i.e. A cup teeny) described her post breastfeeding boobs as like small flesh envelopes! Not looking forward to it.

Right, no reason to be particularly cheerful about it then! (hi hc)

Mine went small and flat for about a month. Then they went back to what they were before - a D cup.

That was following 18 months of bf, 18 months of not bf, 13 months of bf, 9 months of pregnancy, 2 and a half years of bf.

I've been told that very fast weaning can cause the 'envelope flap effect'.

Mine didn't, sadly.

you have to get a bit fatter and let them fill out again
I don't know what happens if you THEN lose weight, slowly - this could be the answer
I haven't managed this yet

I was a AA just after giving up b/feeding (5 years and 3 children). Was gutted when M&S lady told me. Got back to a C after about 4 years and some weight on.

This thread is depressing

Flesh envelopes? FLESH ENVELOPES [weeps]

Sherby - my tits look fine, my nipples are in the right place and I can fill out a D cup - and, as I said, I've bf for five years, and am 42 years old. It's not all bad news!

My SIL had the dreaded flesh envelopes but they filled out again and now look more like plump jiffy bags .

I would rather have envelopes than the pillar boxes currently stuck on the front of my chest.

I hope they shrink. I hate them!

Mine seemed to stay the same after DS1 (ff but expressed for a few weeks) but after bf DS2 for a year they shrivelled up. They're back now I'm PG again but I wish they would stay like this. If they go as small as they did before this pg I'm deffo having implants!

I'm interested too as I never get engorged. DD is nearly 13 months. I can't afford for them to get much smaller!
