baby suddenly doesnt take bottle/milk easily anymore!!

My son is a week under 9 months, and seems like he doesnt suck the bottle properly anymore! He has been getting some teeth recently, and also I started him with some water here and there with the special cup..isnt he too old to get confused? or could it be teething!! He only eats cereal with fruit otherwise..wont take any veg! anyone else had this??
