The box says 5 feeds a day but I think dd could do with an extra feed, since I went to ff, HV useless, I am stuck between an extra feed opposed to hungry baby formula, but not sure?
Anyone have any thoughts?

I gave my little boy an extra feed as he was a hungry boy. I decided to try that first as I think the hungry baby milk can be difficult for them to digest

The box is just a guid, some babies need more some babies need less. I would try the extra feed first the hungry baby milk can be quite hard to digest.
How old is she?

i give DD extra if she wants it, but only if she demands it. she is 4.5 months. i try and go as long as possible between feeds, though as she put on 5lb in 7 weeks recently (although she is also very tall now).

Keep an eye on the total for the day - mine doesn't finish most feeds - leaves an ounce or 2, which over a day can easily add up to another feed

i considered hungry baby milk, but the only difference is it has more lactose in it to make it harder to digest

I never went by the box - to start with ds had about 7 or 8 feeds in 24 hours and he was still having 5 feeds up to 8 months. He fed 3 hourly up to about 4 months and then started going around 4 hours between them. The box is just a guide to show what the 'average' baby would take and may bear no resemblance to how much your lo would want to eat. Give another feed if that is what your lo wants.

p.s. hungry milk is more casein dominant as opposed to whey dominant in the first milk. Casein is harder to digest and 'may' make your lo feel fuller for longer.

DS always had more feeds than the box said, I pretty much ignored it and fed him as much/often as he wanted.
