To everyone who gave me advice, information, reassurance or was just plain kind on my many BF trauma threads - thank you. DD is 14wks old tomorrow, and finally it doesn't hurt to feed her. I'm so glad I stuck with it and without you lot almost certainly wouldn't have.

Well done! In a few months the initial trauma will be but a distant memory. Reading your post has brought back all the excruciating pain and dog-tiredness of the first few weeks, but it's such a pleasure now. DS2 is 14 months now and I can't quite believe I'm still feeding him (didn't succeed with ds1 ).

Well done Flea! It took me 9 weeks to start enjoying it and now at 19 weeks I am dreading weaning - all that faff! Never thought I would be saying that. Glad it has stopped hurting and hope you can enjoy the snuggling now.

yea just wanna add to this, took me 5 weeks to get into the swing of things, baba was not putting on weight no one had ever told me to offer both boobs infact at ante natal classes they had said the opposite. mumsnetters advised offering both barrels and now my 10wk old is overtaking his FF peers. also from being totally shy and embarrassed about BF-ing i am now proper militant!! i might have given it up if it wasnt for this forum.

Well done fleacircus!! We are at 17weeks now and much better here too.

Do you know, just this morning I was thinking...if I started a thread for people to reply to who wouldn't have been bf-ing if it wasn't for mumsnet, how many replies would I get? I'd bet hundreds!

Well done MN and well done you!
