Does anyone know if it's still ok to breast feed and take ibruprofen, I think I've heard only paracetamol ok but can't remember ... we're down to just 2 feeds during the night, took some at lunch time so will it have worn off anyway?? Have bottles ready to go so not a problem, just wondered. Ta. x

oh good, thankyou! I'm sure I was told not, but may have just been a friend or something rather than someone in the know!

I lived on ibruprofen and paracetamol for about 2 weeks after labour! It's fine to take.

the lactulose antibiotics and high strength prescription painkillers they gave me when I left hospital all meant I didn't need to take anything other then the odd pain killer - didn't even realise I'd had a 3rd degree tear!!!

it's fine. Especially if baby is old enough to have it themselves!!ie Nurofen for children is from 3mths so the small amount that passes through your milk isn't going to do any damage.
