This if not for me, it is for my friend's SIL. She had an emergency c/s on Monday morning. She is just leaving the hospital now, has had no help b/f at all and is feeling anxious and worried about how she is going to get through the night with a hungry baby. Could someone point me in the direction of some numbers she could call if need be please?

A b/f counsellor is coming tomorrow but I remember so clearly how tomorrow is an age away when you have a hungry baby you can't feed.

Thanks

Hunkers blog has all the numbers.

That is a shockingly short admission for someone who is having problems feeding.

I hope she's going to cuddle down in bed with the baby and cosleep so that baby can just feed as and when

I was in a similar situation. Please tell her that if all else fails and she cannot feed overnight a) the baby will be ok, b) she can just got to A&E if she's in a real panic and can't get hold of anyone else.

Thanks everyone, that is brilliant. Am just putting into an easily accessible email now so bleary eyed DH can get access to everything he needs. I will also tell my friend to tell her SIL to come on here.

I know it is shocking that she is going home so early isn't it? Bless her. Thanks for that lotty.

How did she get on?

I was the same smallwhitecat, sent home with feeding problems, it was awful.

I think she got on OK and go through it (I don't know her personally, she is my friend's SIL), my friend text me yesterday to say that she said thanks for all the info and they had phoned a number and looked on here and had a counsellor coming so she is doing all the right things. My friend says that everything is a bit calmer now so I hope it works out. I left it far to late to get help , although I will know where to come next time
