Infant feeding

Out of practice - remind me what happens to BF when weaning?

About to start with the soggy carrots etc..

If DS1 and 2 are anything to go by, I vaguely remembered that they moved to 3 meals a day within about 2 weeks... But can't for the life of me remember what BF/milk they had - not least because was back at work earlier and used formula/bottles in day (I think?) and BF morning and evening...

But I guess I'll just keep offering every 3 hours? And BF before offering soggy carrots or after or both? God I'm useless, can't remember anything (that'll be the sleep deprivation or the senility, one or the other...)

Hiya, did the weaning thing about 8 weeks ago - not sure that I did it right but DD is putting on weight so can't be all wrong I initially offered solids before BF at lunchtime feed (usually around 2pm) and went from there. Within a couple of weeks she'd gone from 1 to 3 meals a day and rearranged her routine so that she had BF at around 6am, 11am, 3pm 7pm and 11pm and had solids at 8am, 1pm and 5.30pm. Just played around with it really until we found something that worked. Oh, and after 3 weeks she dropped her usual 11pm feed and slept 7-6 which was fabulous. Don't know what other people do, just kind of made it up as we went along!
