Hi everyone!

I'm exclusively BF DD who is now 10 1/2 weeks. Last night however i noticed that a very small part of my left nipple is becoming quite sore and i dont know why! I've never had sore or cracked nipples in the whole time i've been BF so i'm not sure if this is a sore nipple incident or what. It's weird because it looks almost like a spot on my nipple but i'm not sure this is what it is. I've put Lansinoh on it for the last couple of feeds.

Should i continue to feed from that side or just let it heal (whatever it is!)

TIA.

I would continue to feed of the side, unless, I suppose, it is completely unbearable and needs a little rest.
Maybe try latching on differently on that side, i.e. feed in a different position might help.

It sounds like it could be a bleb (think that's what they're called) or a blocke milk duct. I had one once and it was painful and took a while to clear up.

Will go have a look at kellymom for you to see.

Here you go. This is what I had. Not a blocked duct, but a blocked pore.

Thanx for the link. It's not white so i'm assuming it's a friction burn. I wouldn't call it a blister as it's not actually a blister, just a little red patch right on the bottom of my nipple. It's not painful to feed on that side so i will continue to do so, but it sore if i rub it or knock it.

Unfortunately the link within the link about friction blisters no longer works.

I'll try and get DD to perhaps latch better.

Thanx for your help.
