Hi just found this! Thanks for asking.
I'm ok but i'm mix feeding now..I know , I know it's like the bi-sexuality of feeding and I don't know where I belong. It's really only a bottle in the early morning feed or sometimes the midnight feed too just so I can get more than 2 hours sleep. I normally give a bottle of expressed at some point in the day too. I feel much better for it tbh me collapsing at the school gates just wasn't any good for anyone. I have been ill this week with a horrible bug so have bf him more than not hoping he'll gain some sort of immunity from it. On the whole I feel more sane and he seems alot more happy ans satisfied as is my 2 year old who has actually got to spend some time with his mummy!

How are things with you?

Where is the emoticon for big exhausted sigh!

We are doing fine, I think - although today Im just bloody exhausted and spent most of the night, awake feeding thinking about going to mothercare first thing today and buying whatever they sell - bottles, formula, infacol, gripewater, straightjacket (for me)

I am managing to stick in with BF but have tried a bottle a few times at 10pm - a couple of times it worked beautifully and the rest of the time no difference.

Last night put her down at 10, then she was up at 12, 1, 2, 3.30, 5 then 7 up for the day.

She was sick a few times in the night as I think I was just latching her on willy nilly to get her back to sleep.

ahhhhhhhhhh it does get better doesnt it????? remind me of WHEN!!!!!!!?

Glad you are ok even though you're exhausted. I've woken up with a cold sore today urgh.

Ds fed at 11.30pm, 3.30 am and then 7am this morning so was a good night for us. He does seem to be getting frustrated at the breast though. he will take it in the morning for his first feed but there on after is very fussy and either refuses to latch on at all or only stay on for a few minutes. I think now he's been exposed to bottles he thinks the breast is too slow so i've been expressing loads which I don't mind as long as he's getting the breast milk also feeding him the expressed milk is alot quicker as he drinks really fast from the bottle. He's just drank 7 oz of expressed milk in one feed so no wonder he was permanantly attached! He's now fast asleep.

How's today been so far for you?

dare i say it, just when i have a crap day i have a good one

friend came over today, her dd was very windy and colicky, something my other 2 werent and she recognised signs of windy uncomfortable baby and spent ages winding her, she burped LOADS and has been really alert, awake and content today. She even lay under baby gym for ages which has just not happened before.

now feel bad that shes been in discomfort but also hopeful that if i really make an effort with wind she might be more settled.

also decided today would start expressing properly now as im starting to get cabin fever and slightly resentful that my DH can leave the house alone!

how often are you expressing? and how much are you getting?

thats great about your DS sleep last night, DD did that a couple of times last week and i felt amazing the next day. last 2 nights have been crap tho.

Im tentatively hoepful for tonight as she has slept less than usual today and has been kicking her little legs under the gym!

I'm expressing everytime I have a letdown and i'm not bf iyswim. I am conscious of losing my supply so this way if i'm replacing a feed with a bottle expressed or otherwise I express at around the same time. The only time I don't do this is the 3am ish feed this is because I know I will always be giving a bottle for this feed and it will be the first one he cuts out. This may sound mad but I can express around 4 oz quickly alot quicker than a feed itself so when i'm short of time, need a break or dp is feeding him I do this.
