hi, ds is 5 wks, breastfed and will take bm out of dr browns bottles. i'd like him to take a dummy (number of reasons) just wondering which is best, tried a few and he didn't really take to them. Just wondering if any type are better with bf?

Ds had the standard Avent dummies and was fine with them, didn't occur to me that certain types would be better for bf babies. I did notice recently that the Tommee Tippee closer to nature range does a dummy and that was the only bottle ds would take so maybe that might be a good place to start??

the only ones my daughter would ever have was the nuk ones, she was/is breastfed, all babies are different tho, you might have to try a few types!

I have been using the Tommee Tippee ones as mentioned by shoppingbags from when ds was 3 day old, he's been fine, no nipple confusion. I also use the bottles for EBM and he has been fine with them as well. Some babies just won't take a dummy no matter what, friend's ds is like this.

ds3 had the nuk dummies. Whatever ones you choose just make sure they are easy to buy. Once he became hooked I discovered they were no longer sold near me and had to order them by mail.
