Have any of you ever tried taking goats rue, more milk or milk maid tea to help milk production?

My DD is almost a year old now. We have had a fantastic year of wonderful breast feeding, really successful.

The last couple of months, for many reasons,we have been cutting back on the breast feeding to the point its only really properly twice a day, early morning and bed time followed by a bottle. occasionally in the day and also if she wakes in the night, but more a comfort suck then. Really, all her feeds from me now are comfort I feel, rather than proper feeding.

ANYWAY...

Isobel is really not too well with another chest infection, and wont eat much, if anything, also not wanting any bottles or cups.
So, i'm feeding her more again, as its all she will take, only, I know there's not a lot of milk there now, despite the increased feeding, its not increasing my supply. I've even tried a bit of expressing, with very poor results.

So i wondered about the supplememnts I've named above, as i've often seen them on br support websites etc, and thought it might be worth a go, so that she is getting plenty of fluids. they are pricey though, so wanted to know if anyone had used them with good outcome.

sorry for long post, just wanted to give a bit of back ground!

hiya susie,i used fenugreek capsules to increase my supply and they worked for me.bit cheaper than moremilk too, also oats are supposed to be good so maybe a flapjack or two could be in order .
