We're off to St Lucia in the new year and my mum has said that I'll need to give ds some cooled boiled water to stop him getting dehydrated. I thought exclusively bfing him would give him all the fluid he needs. Will I need to give him extra water?

No water. Just extra bmilk. It contains all the water he needs.

Where in St Lucia? (My fave place)

I thought so... I'm going to be thirsty though!!

We're going to a place near Rodney bay. I've never been, can't wait!

No, what did people do years ago in hot countries before bottles were invented?

you might need to breastfeed more and you'll need to drink more water

MrsMar... when you go onto the beach in Rodney Bay (prettiest beach on the island) turn left. Walk away from the tourists who go right! Walk to the end of the beach and you'll find Miss Marie (Ann Marie) cooking in her shack. There is no menu, you eat what you're given. Drink some of her spice (not more than one as it'll go straight to you). And please say hi from "Trouble Daughter" (me) and tell her I sent you there.

Suddenly all these people are off to St Lucia. If I'd known I could've sent Miss Marie a gift. Ah well , send her my love and have a fabulous time. Tell them I'll be there in May!

you will find he will feed more anyway - living in Aus - through the summer -both breastfed babes just fed more often and sometimes smaller/quicker feeds - like a little drink and then the longer proper feeds

eidsvold, thanks for that. I'm going to have to be super careful about drinking enough, I'm always really bad at that!
