I am successfully bf my 3 week old, me and dp are going out for the evening on saturday and the in laws are baby sitting I am concerned about feeds so am thinking of expressing so that 10pm feed can be given however have read that introducing a bottle this early can cause problems with milk supply and nipple confusion. Has any one got some advice?

you'll get lots of mixed responses on here. DS had a bottle of ebm from very early and i never had any problems with nipple confusion. (at 13 weeks the 10pm feed is done by DH with ebm in bottle) but apparently it does happen.

i also think that one feed wont effect supply (but maybe express before you go out and when ypu get back in)

also recommend that you try giving ebm in bottle (not you but dp) before relying on him taking it when out.
