BIL & his wife are coming over from USA this xmas & MIL has asked me if I know if you can get nestle formula over here as that's what she is giving her DD now. I bf so don't really know that much about formula...but I think I'm right in saying that Nestle don't sell formula over here - is that right? If so which other one would be the best/most similar one to get? Don't know exactly which one SIL is using.....but MIL said it was the 'purple one' for older babies (DN is 11 months old) & thought it was the follow-on one....sorry not much to go on I know...but any help would be appreciated

TIA

I don't actually think you can - I've just looked and can't find one.

At 11 months old it really does not matter if she is on regular formula which formula she uses - it will be a follow on one anyway.

She doesn't need formula.
Ordinary milk will do her fine (and cost seven times less.)

if he is 11 months, could he not go onto cows milk?

how long are they coming for?

might be best for her to just bring some over, just in case the change of milk plays havoc with there baby...

I was going to say cows milk too. Will be fine. She will be practically 12 months then (the official guideline age for cows milk as a main drink I believe).

They are coming for 2 weeks and with all the xmas pressies I'm not sure they have the luggage space for the formula...I know SIL has also asked MIL to get some nappies in as well.

I will suggest ordinary milk to MIL... DN will be 1 yr old over the hols so I guess it would be ok...but I'm not sure if SIL would be happy with it from what MIL said....

it´s true that cows milk is ok, but if she resally won´t drink anything else then they hould probably bring some over. manufacturers vary recipes from country to country anyway.

Ds2 was well onto cows milk by that age, the fussy little fart.
