DS is 6 weeks old and has been on aptimial, he never seems satisfied with a feed, (or at anytime that is, never contented )we changed to the Hungry version as he was always looking for more, but he still only goes 2- 3 hours before he wants more, im thinking of changing him to the sma one to see if that makes any difference , any advice is welcomed as i really dont know what to do with him any more

chnaged once to hipp organic, and it seemed to mess about with ds's insides and made him unbelievably constipated!

my ds is now 11mths and still eats every 3hrs so i think some people don't want just 3 meals a day!

6wks is still very little though - they have tiny tummies

I think feeding every 3 hours for a 6 wek old baby is normal.
I never changed my formula once, stuck with sma gold first stage milk until dd was 1 year old and she fed every 3 hours. HTH
You could also speak to your health visitor, if she is a good one

I think i was spoilt with my first as he went every 4 hours and was sleeping through at 7 weeks!
DS2 also cries alot and never seems happy (he dosnt have colic or reflux) - Just never happy!

My HV is as about as useful as a chocolate Teapot!

My dd is 9weeks old and has sma gold and she only goes 2-3 hrs during the day. She doesn't have colic but does suffer with some trapped wind and will still bring some up an hour after her feed. I think sometimes she confuses the pain of trapped wind with being hungry so would take bottle suck once then push it away so i have just started using infacol.

The main advice I have been given is to keep her upright for at least 1/2 hr after feed to give wind plenty of time to come up. I would be careful about changing milk as could upset his tummy it took my dd about 6 weeks for her system to settle down was constipated and had hard poos up to then.

Hope it gets better for you soon.
