Getting enough milk?

However much I try my 2mth old is only taking 2oz (expressed milk) at the 11pm feed but somehow still sleeps till 6am!?

And yes, as long as he's gaining weight and has wet nappies, he's getting enough milk.

Why are you expressing?
You need to be feeding at night to maintain supply. Hope you know this.

yes am expressing at 9pm and my husband gives him the bottle at 11pm, he does have wet nappies but his weight gain is around 100g / week.

i need to go back to work in a few weeks time so have started expressing and introducing him to the bottle - he is exclusively breastfed for the rest of the day

Ah.
Nothing wrong with expressing (I had to do it daily from about a week for various reasons) but just remember that it is important that you feed at night. Summat to do with hormones.I'm sure Tiktok will fill you in on the sciency bit.

Should i be thinking of getting different teats, at the 11pm feed he feeds ok for 5mins takes the majority of his feed and then fights and cries and plays with the teat for the rest of the feed time any ideas?

Maybe he prefers to breastfeed?

His weight gain isn't brilliant, is he happy and healthy and sleeping well and all that? I'd be inclined to bf a bit more, tbh.
