My ds is three weeks old and i'm breast feeding, last night I noticed a red area on my left boob it's not sore or inflammed but it is still there this morning - do you think it could be mastitis and should I go to the doc to get it checked or wait to see if it goes do you think?

Xx

Just trying to bump this for you. If it was mastitis think you would know by now, I had it and got loads of help from here. Try www.kellymom.com while your waiting for other advise.

its possible that you have a blocked duct, although you would usually experience some pain or tenderness there. if it is a blocked duct keep feding from that side (offer that side first) and this will clear any blockage, also holding a warm flannel against it may help.
if it does become any redder, painful or if you develop any flu like symptons then seek medical advice. HTH.

If it were Mastitis you would know. The pain is excruciating and could be accompanied with flu like symptoms.. check this link;
