IMO, I wouldn't ever give them squash. It's full of sugar, has no nutritional benefits, and there's no reason to have it. Get them used to drinking water instead.

My girls do have real juice - apple or orange - sometimes, because they like drinking it, but never more than 1 cup a day. I'm trying to remember when I first gave it to them. It wasn't before a year and then I diluted it with water.

can you not just put a dash of orange or apple juice in it? the squash stuff has loads of weird stuff in it.

he might like the boots powdered drinks - they do little tubs of that - orange and raspberry organic drink. i would give ds water if he would take it!!! but i would rather he had something that was mostly water rather than nothing

Once they're on solids a bit of diluted juice is ok, isn't it? Agree re squash, though.

How old is he Titiana? I would think that if he doesn't want the water then he's not thirsty.

Why are you trying to give him anything to drink? At that age he doesn't need anything other than breastmilk or formula, and if he's thirsty he'll drink water.

No, it's ok for them - not sure where you get it, though. Not the juice from a tin of prunes.

Over here it's in the juice aisle in the supermarket, with the apple juice etc.

do you tend to buy prune juice, if so what brand and where can I get it from? Also, if I cooked some prunes, and used the water from this, should I then dliute it further?
