pumps do help. or you can also buy a thing called a nipplette which does a similar sucky thing

A friend of mine used things like nipple shields that she bought in boots. Have no idea what they're called but they're specifically for inverted nipples.

no need for a pump i have really inverted nips and my lo sucks them out when he feeds doesnt seem to cause him any probs.

wouldnt bother with nipplette tried it and thethings just fall off all the time.
