my 4.8yo (not bf since 9mo) pretended to feed a small toy dog when he stayed at my parents last night. apparently lifted his top and said he had to get his boobies out. his 16mo brother is bf so i am guessing it comes from that, which is fine, but BOOBIES???? god knows where he got that one from.

We're staying with in-laws at the moment, and DS2 (2.6) has just tried to suckle from a statue of a bare-breasted Hindu goddess that they keep in their lounge. He had been staring longingly at it all afternoon, before announcing 'I'm going to drink the lady's nanas!' and giving it a darn good go.

Thankfully they weren't there at the time! But my SIL used to be a midwife in Bangladesh, so she's pretty cool about this sort of thing. I'm just glad it wasn't in front of the PILs - I'd never have lived it down...

I come back from a run in the pouring rain just before ds2 went to bed. Went to feed him before having a shower and he said:

even better, last night she offered one of dh's best mates and her godfather 'the other side' yesterday to his shock and hilarity.

at least she's now grasped the concept of sharing

My 20 month old lifts up top, points and says fis (this) once finished, detaches points to the other says fis again.

Even does it at night,I get woken up to a rooting child shouting fis,fis fis.

I was actually crying with laughter reading some of these.

I was concerned about a lump in my breast (turned out to be okay) and I'd read that the best way to check was lying down with your arms over your head. I was doing this on the floor when dd2 crawled over and latched on, giggling furiously.
