Stopped b/f at 15 mths no engorgement but have pain

I stopped b/f 10 days ago - dd is 15 months. I was only doing one feed per day (bedtime) and I haven't had loads of milk for quite a while now so I've not had any engorgement. But my boobs are really sore (one in particular). If I touch my nipples my boob hurts behind it and down towards under my armpit basically. It's kind of like a blocked duct feeling but 10 days down the line I wasn't expecting any pain.
I have gradually started wearing non b/f bras (underwired) over the past few days and I'm wondering if I've done myself some damage that's causing a blockage somewhere. Does anyone know how long it takes for the milk to go completely...? Have I jumped the gun on bras (I was just desperate to get into some decent underwear!)? I went back to b/f bras for a couple of days but the pain didn't subside.
Anyone else have any experience of this? Would be grateful for thoughts.

Should be gone by now. Suggest you go to the GP and get some antibiotics. You might also want to try massaging the area to see if you can get the blocked duct cleared.

Nope not hot and red... I was looking out for that thinking it could be mastitis but there's nothing visible...

will give it a bit of a massage although as it's so sore the thought of that makes me feel woozy

(thanks for your reply btw)

Take some aspirin to expand the blood vessels, and put alternate hot then cold flannels on instead of massage then.

Mastitis isn't always visible for the first five days IME.

thank you for that. I will give it a go this evening.
After the other message I did give my left a bit of a massage (without the flannels - hadn't seen that message then) and I was surprised to see that milk was leaking. I'd've thought that after 10 days or so it would be gone. Interestingly, the side of my nipple closest to the pain leaked a clear fluid rather than milk. I'm thinking blocked duct although have no real idea of how that works...!
