Sex and Breastfeeding

Tell me the truth - how does BFing affect your sex life? I've been BFing for 13 months now and it has definatively affected our sex life. I have always had a high sex drive, for some reason it goes through the roof when I'm pregnant but since BFing my libido has really gone down, I know just can't be bothered although I like the idea of it. I think part of the problem is that I have big boobs and they have always played a big part in our sex life. Now I cannot let DH suck them as I know he'd end up with a mouthful of milk! Sometimes he tries to kind of 'nibble' my nips but it just tickles and feels horrible. I fully intend on carrying on breastfeeding but I do miss really good sex!

p.s have executed name change to save blushes in case I get accused of trolling.

I hate my breasts being touched too. Not sure why but deffo think it is something to do with breastfeeding.

A friend of mine's DH loved the fact he got a mouthful of milk and made it part of foreplay

I think libido goes down generally after birth whether you are breast or bottle feeding TBH.

Get him to nibble elsewhere

I still like sex while BFing but I must admit I don't want that big hairy, uncouth brute anywhere near my breasts in the very early days. I have to drop my principals slightly as I tend to feed my babies past the two year mark.

I used to try to make dh taste my milk and was mildly offended that he was too grossed out. I used to taunt him with being uptight and tell him how all our friends dhs were doing it.

I've been known to squirt DH across the room with BM just because I can! but he has never 'fed' - I remember having a conversation about it with a mate who said 'oh come on, all men do it don't they?' - eek, know what her DH likes..

Tell him he's unmanly and uptight and threaten to put it in his tea and not tell him.
