I personally don't see the issue here - if you're discreat and don't wap our your whole boob where's the problem - most of the time you can't tell anyways unless you're ogaling/right up close.

I persoanlly never had the confidence to BF in public partly thru fear and also I didn't want to be told to stop get embaressed and flustered etc so always took ebm - but even thewn had people looking at me like I should be BF - sometimes you can't win.

I always took a large summer scarf and draped it over myself and ds while he was feeding. An onlooker would not have seen anything!

Each to their own, but personally I think young mothers have to give up enough of their lives when they have a young baby. I for one will never stay insidejust in case my baby needs to be fed because some lunatic thinks that there is something unnatural about bfing.

The only way to fight these attitudes is to ignore them IMO (although I know that that is easier said than done)

qwuite, I distinctly remember feeding j then rushing into town thinking right i've got an hour and half to get all I need before getting home again to feed him - sad thing was in our town there wasn't even a public feeding room (garden chair in the loo) and i'll be buggered if I was gonna feed him on the loo and make us both uncomfortable etc.

just the other day I was feeding outside a cafe sitting at one of their outdoor tables. gecko is nearly four months now and quite long. A lady who walked up from behind me stopped and said "aww what a quiet little baby"
I said " shes feeding" with a smile
and the lady said "oooo wonderful, I didn't notice"


......and then leaned RIGHT in for a good look and stroked geckos cheek!

It was nice to have such a positive response

sometimes these weirdo people who found it so offensive say it's not because tey can see anything but becuse they find the thought of something sucking on a human breast yukky. All the sucking noises too. Nothing to do with what they could or couldn't see

I think people get yucked out by the idea of the bodily fluids thing. It probably does seem weird if you're not used to it.
