Fussy feeding but not a growth spurt?

As a new member I really appreciate the wealth of experience to be found in these lists. Does anyone else have a baby who is generally rather sensitive and who seems to have days of fussy feeding which don't correspond with the usual growth spurt dates? DD1 is 8 weeks, and every week or two we have a period of two/three days when she will pull off the breast, cry whilst feeding, and seem generally hard to satisfy. She doesn't seem to have wind and isn't a sicky baby, but gets so put off I worry she doesn't take a whole feed and that this might actually reduce my supply for the next couple of days. She's also frequently upset whilst feeding in the evenings, but I'm not sure if this is because my milk supply is lowest then (or is this a myth? why wouldn't it adjust to her needs?)
Any advice very welcome as we hate seeing her so upset!

a lot of babies are unsettled in the evenings and like to take comfort from feeding. sorry no idea re fussiness, does sound like growth spurt though. is she otherwise well?

Speak to a breastfeeding counsellor, either through NCT, La Leche League or the Breastfeeding Network. I've had 3 babies and I've never heard of usual growth spurt dates. Growth spurts can happen at any time IME. I think you need some one-to-one with a counsellor.

As you imply, supply is linked to demand, but it can take a little while for supply to adjust. Many babies get upset in the evenings, and if you've been having ANY evenings when she is settled then you're ahead of many mums! I still think it's worth discussing your particular case with some one who is qualified to help you.
