Infant feeding

Anxious about feeding

I'm feeling really uptight about feeding my 3 week old. I'd posted earlier about his night noises which I'm just learning to ignore, even though he's lying next to me squeaking away.
He won't take the breast anymore. I have large breasts and he finds the latch difficult and I find positioning difficult. He gets expressed breast milk as much as I can manage although I think my supply is dwindling.
We mostly use the tommee tippee bottles and we've bought the anti colic ones but he still seems to take on board so much air and he doesn't burp easily. He gets hiccups often.
Also I stress about how much he is taking. I had been making 90ml bottles and he'd take them over about an hour with burping and changing breaks. He always still roots around for more but when given more he will be sick.
I really don't know what's best to do and I'm beginning to feel physically sick when I wake up in the morning knowing that we've got another day of feeding to get through.

I have a windy, grunting, hiccupping 4 week old, so I sympathise! Have you tried feeding him in an upright position, especially at the end of the feed when he's still asking for more? It helps stop mine being sick.

I hadn't tried that, but I'll give it a go! Thanks x

Good luck. I find keeping him upright for as long as possible after feeds helps too.
