Breastfeeding and supply

My LO is 6 weeks old and struggles to feed from one breast. He will take from the right fine but the left side is a issue. He had tongue tie but that's been snipped but I wonder if the latching issue on the left will ever fix itself?
Anyhow I started to pump from left side yesterday as I feel my milk supply on that side is dwindling. Pumping is only producing about 25ml per pump which seems low so kept the pump on for as few minutes after to help supply. My aim is to give him expressed milk from my left side and feed from my right. However it will take about 3-4 sessions to get one feed. LO doesn't look like he fulfilled from just my right side and can be crabby after a feed.

Will pumping ever increase my supply? Is there anything else I can do? Can I teach him to take from my left side!
Any pearls of wisdom here ladies would be gratefully received.

I hated feeding from right side as getting her latched on with my weaker left arm (I'm right handed) was always a ball ache. Maybe that??

I believe oats are good for increasing supply. Get your porridge and hobnobs out :)

Also remember some people or boobs don't respond well to a pump and often baby will get a lot more out than a pump can?

My LG is almost 2 and still going strong and her latch got better and better as she got older :)

My 4 week old prefers the right to the left and won't latch to the left if he's fussing but ok if he's relaxed.
If you keep pumping after the milk has stopped then your body 'should' make more for the next time...
I've got no experience with tongue tie though sorry... can you contact a lactation consultant for advice and support, we have great ones available through our health visitor x
