Advice on allergens in breast milk please. I gave up all milk products when DS was 4 weeks old as I thought he had some possible signs of allergy. Basically he was mega pukey and gassy, could never lay flat on his back, eczema type skin rashes and quite dark watery poos (as opposed to the creamy bright yellow ones DC1 normally had).
3 weeks later there seems to have been a bit of an improvement in skin and volume of vomit but the other symptoms are still there. I'm not sure if that's just a normal developmental improvement that would have happened anyway. He still seems really upset before and after vomiting and something definitely feels not quite right compared to DC1.
My GP has been b*gger all use and said it was all caused by the fact that I had an ELCS. ??!!?. Anyway, when I was talking to a friend who's baby had 'silent' reflux, she said she had been told to also give up eggs. Should I try this too? If so how soon should I see an improvement if milk/eggs is the actual trigger?
I'm so tempted to just go back to dairy but do you think 3 weeks is long enough to test or should I wait longer and stop eggs too?
Are allergies and reflux just two completely separate things?
