Nearly 15mnth Old Not Drinking Milk

is it ok for her not to drink milk?

She has never been a big fan, and down to 1 bottle a day really, but for the last 3 days she has refused it point blank, is spitting it out, wont take it out of any sort of cup.

Do I just increase yoghurts/cheese to help or do I need her to drink it?

All a bit alien to me as Jessi loves her milk at 2.6 and will drink cups and cups and cups of it!

hi - ds hasn't had any milk since around 12mo - we were fed up of the nightly "how much has he had? a whole fl ounce?" trauma and he obviously wasn't enjoying it

we were advised to keep up his calcium intake wherever possible with cheese and yoghurts etc but now he's 19mo i'm fairly relaxed about it

i wouldn't worry too much - at least you won't have to worry about getting her to drop her last milk feed!

ds didn't drink any milk at all between about 9months and 18 months.

As long as they are getting it from other sources - yoghurts, cheese, custard - anything with dairy in then they should be fine.

I know a few kids who just didn't like the taste of it, but they have all been fine and parents have just increased dairy intakes in meals.

Ds went back onto it which surprised me and now he loves it!

thanks, thats reassuring - forgot about custard - she loves custard!

she certainly isnt a "small" child so I guess it cant do her much harm!
