Worried about how much my baby is drinking

I'm hoping someone can put my mind at ease really as I'm a first time mum and probably slightly over cautious!

My daughter is 13 weeks and weighs 12lb 8oz so according to the 2.5oz per lb she should be on roughly 32oz a day. However she is only taking between 17-20oz a day.

She went through 6-8weeks taking a 5oz bottle now she will only take 3oz at a time, sometimes less! She is a very happy baby and always on the go but I'm worried she isn't drinking enough.

Does anyone else's baby drink way below the amount recommended? Or does anyone have any tips on how to encourage a larger feed?

Any advice would be really appreciated!

If her weight gain is fine then I'd say the quantity doesn't matter, but then I only know about EBF not FF really.

She didn't gain anything for 4 weeks but is now slowly gaining again. She was between 50th and 75th centile but is now only just on the 50th.

I might make an appointment with the HV, I just don't want to seem paranoid Blush

At that age my DD was exclusively bf so I can't say for sure, but when she moved to formula (6 months) she had only 4oz Max per feed. Any more and it was sure to be puked out. So definitely less than 20oz which was way below the defined numbers. I was always amazed at babies who could finish an 8oz bottle in a few gulps! I didn't even buy big bottles. I got the 5 oz one and we always had 1oz left!! I
Dad is 19 months now, so not to worry.

See the HV of you have concerns. My middle child was never much fussed with huge quantities. She was and is extremely petite ages 7. Her big sister was a guzzler. It might be just her way. However losing centiles should be checked out and your HV will advise you.

Thank you for the advice Smile the HV is going to do 2 weight comparisons a week apart but she thinks I may just have a snack feeder that isn't very hungry.....doesn't get that from me Hmm lol!!
