Infant feeding

how to stop breast=feeding a one year old?

My DD and I have had a very successful year of breastfeeding (after a shakey start). My DH and I would like to have another baby and (presumably due to the BF) my periods still haven't started. For that reason, I think I should stop BF.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice how to do this. My DD loves to feed and uses it as a means of comfort/bonding when I come back from work, etc. To make it worse, so far she has not accepted milk from a bottle or a cup.

Hmmm.....

Hi AVM, crossed threads - lets see responses to both (ref: how little milk can he survive on!)

Nursery tried. She spat out milk from a cup but was happy to take water.
